A method for recognizing an electrical oscillation in an electrical power supply system, in which an electrical oscillation variable is determined for at least one measuring point in the power supply system. Parameters of an electrical oscillation are calculated on the basis of a time curve of the oscillation variable for the at least one measuring point, and the presence and type of an electrical oscillation is deduced using the parameters. To be able to provide correct parameters for assessing the oscillation in a timely fashion after the start of the oscillation, it is proposed that the number of those successive values of the oscillation variable from which the parameters of the electrical oscillation are calculated is adapted dynamically to the sequence of values of the oscillation variable.

Method, device and system for recognizing an electrical oscillation in an electrical power supply system

A method monitors an electrical energy supply network or a subnetwork of the energy supply network. Measurement values detected at at least two measurement points of the energy supply network or subnetwork are evaluated. More specifically, phase angle values are evaluated as the measurement values or phase angle values determined using the measurement values are evaluated. A check is carried out based on the phase angle values to determine whether the energy supply network or the subnetwork is operating synchronously, and, in the event of an asynchronism identified based on the phase angle values, an island identification signal to be generated.

Method for monitoring an electrical network

A method for determining a frequency, an amplitude and an attenuation of at least one output oscillation in an electrical energy supply network. A time window of predefined duration is used and momentary values for the output determined within the time window are used to determine the frequency, the amplitude and the attenuation of the at least one output oscillation. At least one further time window is used, wherein all the time windows are each of different duration. That time window, within the duration of which a predefined number of oscillation processes of the output oscillation under consideration falls, is used for determining frequency, amplitude and attenuation. The invention also describes a data processing arrangement.

Method and data processing arrangement for determining the frequency, amplitude and attenuation of at least one output oscillation in an electrical energy supply network

A method and a device are provided for monitoring an electrical power supply network. A temporal frequency change value is determined for at least two sections or for at least two points of the power supply network. The frequency change value indicates the respective temporal frequency change of the network frequency. A conclusion is drawn regarding a possible islanding within the power supply network, and a warning signal which indicates the possible islanding within the power supply network is generated when the difference between the frequency change values, exceeds a predetermined frequency change threshold value.
