A method for manufacturing a metal composite component is characterized in that the composite component () is provided with at least two sections () of different magnetization, at least two sections () being situated on the one-piece component () in direct succession. The starting material for manufacturing the composite material () is a semi-austenitic steel, which is provided as a cylindrical blank. The blank is subsequently shaped into an intended shape of the composite component () and rendered magnetizable in a multistage forming and/or heat treatment process, the heat treatment being performed in such a way that the component has a saturation polarization J=0.9-1.5 T. This is followed by a local heat treatment in a partial area under simultaneous cooling of the areas of the composite component () where the magnetic properties are not to be changed, in order to define strictly delimited transitional areas between the different areas of magnetization (). The composite component () is suitable in particular for use in electromagnetic valves, for example, including in fuel injectors of internal combustion engines.

Method for manufacturing a metal composite component, in particular for an electromagnetic valve

A composite component includes at least two sections having different magnetization, the at least two sections in the integrally formed component lying directly next to each other. The base material of the composite component is a semi-austenitic steel. A first section has a higher saturation polarization Jthan an adjacent second section, the second section having a minimum saturation polarization Jof 0.1 T to 1.3 T and/or a maximum relative permeability &#x3bc;of 2 to 150. The composite component is suitable for use in electromagnetic valves, e.g., in fuel injectors of internal combustion engines.

Metallic composite component, in particular for an electromagnetic valve

The method for manufacturing a solid housing, in particular a valve housing for an electromagnetically operable valve, is characterized in that the following method steps are used: a) providing a sheet metal strip made of a magnetic or magnetizable material, b) introducing an additive into a middle area of the sheet metal strip and fusing there for forming a non-magnetizable structure, c) cutting the sheet metal strip into a sheet metal piece of desired width, d) deforming the sheet metal piece into a sleeve shape, e) mutual fastening of the cut edges now facing each other and running in the longitudinal direction of the sleeve for forming a sleeve blank, f) final machining of the sleeve blank until a desired geometry of the housing is achieved. The housing is suitable in particular for use in fuel injectors in fuel injector systems of mixture-compressing spark-ignition internal combustion engines.

Method for manufacturing a solid housing

A method for producing a rigid magnetic circuit component for an electromagnetically operable valve includes: a) providing a base element made of a magnetic or a magnetizable material, b) complete first heat treatment of the base element, c) a local second heat treatment of the base element so as to form a subregion having a microstructure of martensite and residual austenite in the otherwise martensitic base element, and d) installing the finished processed base element as the magnetic circuit component in a magnetic circuit.
