A method for providing a piece of a film of a magnetoelastic material having an initial bending stiffness with an enhanced bending stiffness in a first direction. According to the method, the piece is provided with at least one scored line in the first direction of the piece. Furthermore, the piece is bent along at least one of the at least one scored lines so as to provide the piece with a lasting bend in a direction transverse to the first direction, whereby an enhanced bending stiffness is provided in the first direction of the piece. Also, a product obtained by the method, a sensor and an absorbent structure and an absorbent article including the sensor.

Absorbent garment such as a diaper and an incontinence guard, said garment has a first body panel, a second body panel and a crotch portion there between. The garment is provided with opposed laterally extending belt members attached to the waist portion of the first body panel and are adapted to be wrapped around the waist of the wearer of the garment and fastened together by a first fastener. The second body panel at its waist portion is provided with second fasteners adapted to be fastened to the belt members, in such a way that the garment will assume a pant-like shape. An elastic member extends in transverse direction along the waist portion of the first body panel and extends into at least a portion of each belt member.

Belted absorbent garment

A package for menstrual protectors such as sanitary napkins and pads or panty protectors has one side coated with pressure-sensitive adhesive for securing the napkin to the underwear of the user. A plurality of napkins have their adhering side releasably fixed to a plastic film or the like. When the film with the attached napkins is folded, the napkins are placed on top of each other forming one or more piles enclosed by the film. The overlapping edges of the film extending laterally beyond the protectors are then sealed together.
