A suspension strut for a wheel suspension of a vehicle may have a vibration damper, a supporting spring that partially surrounds an outer tube of the vibration damper and is supported by a spring collar, and a lifting device for height adjustment of the vehicle. The lifting device may comprise a hollow piston and a cylinder that are arranged concentrically around the outer tube. The hollow piston may be guided axially between the outer tube and the cylinder and is connected to the spring collar to adjust a base point of the supporting spring. The hollow piston may comprise a stripping and sealing element that lies against the vibration damper.

Suspension strut and vehicle

A bellows assembly for a vibration damper includes a bellows with a plurality of pockets with pocket walls and a pocket inner profile, a helical compression spring with windings consisting of a wound spring wire and pressure contact lateral faces. The helical compression spring is arranged in the bellows and the plurality of pockets extend coaxially to the longitudinal axis of the helical compression spring. Under pressure loading of the helical compression spring arranged in the bellows, the bellows folds together with the helical compression spring, wherein the wound spring wire is arranged at least in certain portions in the plurality of pockets, wherein the pocket walls of the plurality of pockets in which the wound spring wire is arranged at least in certain portions cover at least the mutually opposite pressure contact lateral faces of adjacent windings of the helical compression spring.

Bellows assembly and bellows for vehicles

A receiving arrangement may be utilized by a lower end of a carrier spring on a damper tube of a shock absorber of a suspension strut, in particular for a vehicle. The receiving arrangement may include a bearing unit by way of which the damper tube can twist relative to the carrier spring about a longitudinal axis of the suspension strut. The bearing unit may include an upper bearing ring and a lower bearing ring, which bearing rings may be configured so they can slide on each other to form an axial bearing and a radial bearing between the carrier spring and the damper tube.

Receiving arrangement of a support spring for a suspension strut

An arrangement for mounting a suspension spring of a spring strut for a motor vehicle may include a spring plate that is arranged on a damper tube of a vibration damper of the spring strut such that an end side of the suspension spring is supported on the spring plate. A protective element for protecting a piston rod of the vibration damper may also be attached to the spring plate. The spring plate may include features that help minimize or even eliminate contact between the protective element and the damper tube. For example, the spring plate may include tongues that extend from a ring-shaped main structure of the spring plate, wherein inner sides of the tongues may lie against the damper tube and outer sides of the tongues may guide the protective element.

Assembly for receiving a suspension spring of a suspension strut, and associated spring seat

The present invention relates to a suspension strut for a motor vehicle with a vibration damper, with a supporting spring and with a height-adjustment device, with which the height of the vehicle body of the motor vehicle can be changed, and wherein the suspension strut has an auxiliary spring having a lower spring characteristic than the supporting spring, by means of which auxiliary spring a residual prestress can be produced in the supporting spring when the vibration damper is extended, and wherein the auxiliary spring is integrated in the height-adjustment device.

Suspension strut for a motor vehicle with a height-adjustment device

A hydraulic dashpot with a cylinder (), a piston (), and a bypass. The cylinder is charged with fluid. The piston partitions the cylinder into two compartments (&), travels back and forth therein on the end of a piston rod (), and is provided with breaches and valves. The open cross-section of the bypass can be expanded and contracted and fixed in accordance with the direction the piston is traveling in, depending on whether the dashpot is in the compression or in the suction phase. The bypass is provided with an axially displaceable control component. One end of the control component comes to rest against a valve, its displacement being limited by stops. The bypass is accommodated in an axial bore through the piston rod. The bypass operates in conjunction with various outlets that open into the compartments. The control component is provided with at least one lateral flange and travels back and forth in at least one tube. The object is a smooth performance curve and low wear. The control component is accordingly in several parts, comprising at least two bypass control caps that axially travel up to stationary stops. The caps, in conjunction with axially variable components (&) that dictate the size of the open cross-section in both the compression and the suction phase, create a port.

Hydraulic shock absorber

A blow-off valve for a hydraulic dashpot comprising a fluid charged cylinder () and a piston () that travels back and forth therein on the end of a piston rod. The piston partitions the cylinder into two compartments (&) and is provided with breaches () and shock-absorbing valves. The piston rod () or an extension () thereof is hollow and accommodates operating components (). The object is a valve that can be accommodated along with the hydraulic lines that serve it outside the piston rod or an extension thereof. The outer surface of the piston rod is accordingly provided with at least one axial inwardly undulating groove () at least as long as the piston, including its fastenings and operating components, is high. Alternatively, the bore that extends through the piston rod or its extension and its fastenings and operating components is provided with a similar radially outward groove that can be closed off at the compression end by a spring-loaded valve.
