The present invention relates to a method for energy saving in a telecommunication system with at least one first base stationfor enabling communication within a first cell. A signal having a frame structure is transmitted in the first cell by the first base station. The structure of at least some frames comprises an overhead part with at least synchronization or system information. The first base stationis in a normal mode operated to transmit at least the overhead part so that it substantially reaches all user terminals within the first cell covering a first area. The method is particularly characterized in that the first base stationin a power saving mode is operated to transmit at least the overhead part so that it substantially reaches all user terminals within the first cell covering a second areabeing larger than the first area

Method for energy saving in a telecommunication system

A signal having a frame structure is transmitted and received in a cell by a first base station, the structure of the frame having a downlink frame part and an uplink frame part. Each frame part has the ability of carrying at least one data region allocated to at least one user or broadcasted for the traffic flow between the telecommunication network and the user terminal via the first base station. The downlink frame part has an overhead part with at least synchronization or system information. The frame structured signal is transmitted periodically Frame N, Frame N+1, Frame N+2, Frame N+3 with a normal interval defined by the system. The system during, a power saving mode, increases the interval between at least a first and the next following second frame structured signal to a power saving interval.

Method for power saving in a base station

The invention relates to a material laminate for use as a covering sheet on absorbent articles such as sanitary napkins, incontinence protectors, diapers, pant diapers, or the like. The material laminate comprises a first, fluid pervious fibrous material layer and a second fluid pervious porous material layer, wherein at least one of the two material layers comprises thermoplastic material and wherein the two material layers are mutually connected by means of the covering material laminate exhibiting bond sites within which the thermoplastic material has been caused to at least partially soften or melt and thereby bond the two material layers together. In the planar extension, the material laminate exhibits two side portions extending in the length direction and having an extension in the width direction from a respective longitudinal side edge and a distance in towards the longitudinal central axis of the material laminate and a central portion positioned between the side portions in the planar extension of the material laminate, wherein the first material layer and the second material layer in the central portion of the material laminate are intermittently bonded together with a first bond pattern and that the first material layer and the second material layer in the two side portions of the material laminate are intermittently bonded together with a second bond pattern wherein the percentage bonded area in relation to the total area in the two side portions is greater then the percentage bonded area in relation to the total area in the central portion. The invention further pertains to an absorbent article comprising the material laminate.

Material laminate for use as a covering sheet in an absorbent article

Optical components intended for telecommunications purposes must be manufactured and mounted with a great degree of accuracy, since a component, such as an optochip, when mounted must be coupled optically, electrically, mechanically and thermally at the same time. In order to obtain a right-angled geometry when using surface-emitting or surface-detecting components, and to obtain a reduced optical travel path and accurate fixation of an optofiber, a reflective surface (12) which slopes at an angle of 45 degrees is arranged between a light-conducting core (16) and the active surface (10) of an optochip, and the light-conducting core has been placed closer to the reflective surface by bevelling the optofiber (9) and fitting the fiber in a V-groove and accurately fixating the fiber in the groove by means of a flat cover means (20). The aforesaid solutions relate generally to problems of a geometrical nature, but are able to provide important advantages in the arrangement of optical components in so-called optical micro-structures in comparison with earlier known techniques with regard to requirements of space, signal transmission performances and manufacturing costs.
