Container for producing a dental synthetic material composition

The present invention relates to a container () for producing a self-curing or dual-curing dental synthetic material composition (), which container comprises a deformable wall (), having a first synthetic material component (-); and a second synthetic material component (-) for curing the synthetic material composition () or starting a curing reaction.

A process for determining a tooth color of a filling or another restoration is provided which in particular is produced using composite materials, wherein at least one tooth is scanned or is visually detected. The process is characterized in that natural teeth are spectrally measured in advance, that the color values measured within a color space are classified into several, in particular four, categories which each form a color cloud extending in a three-dimensional fashion within the color space, which is done with the help of a structuring algorithm, in particular a Nearest Neighbour Algorithm, or a symmetry recognition algorithm, and that the tooth color of the filling is determined by means of evaluating to which category the tooth scanned has the smallest color distance, or to which color cloud the tooth scanned belongs.

Process for determining a tooth color

A system having an auxiliary color selection body and a method for determining the colors of a dental object, i.e. the colors of tooth, residual limb or gingiva, is provided, wherein the auxiliary color selection body () has a substantially U-shaped or L-shaped or ring-shaped structure, on which at least one, preferably 4, reference features (), for recognition of the auxiliary color selection body () is/are attached, and wherein, with respect to the reference features (), a plurality of tooth, stump or gingiva color fields () are arranged on the color selection auxiliary body (). It is provided for an image of a tooth () to be taken with the auxiliary color selection body () being adjacent thereto on at least two sides and the tooth color is determined based on this image (FIG.).
