A holder for eyeglass lenses having a holding part, which is magnetically secured to the fastening part in detachable fashion and has a nose bridge for holding eyeglass lenses, and having at least one swivel bearing, which is provided between the fastening part and the nose bridge of the holding part and has at least two bearing parts that are able to swivel relative to each other around the swivel axis of the swivel bearing in order to move the holding part between a use position of the eyeglass lenses and a non-use position of the eyeglass lenses in which they are folded upward in relation to the use position. In order to embody a holder of the above-mentioned type in a reliable and simply designed way, the first bearing parts and second bearing parts are embodied so that they are detachable from each other and are held together magnetically, for which purpose, at least one bearing part has at least one permanent magnet with a magnetization direction oriented in the direction of the swivel axis.

A roll () for supporting and conveying hot material, including a roll element that has a roll jacket () made of a basic material and a wear coat which is applied to the basic material by means of a surface welding process () using a welding additive which surrounds the surface of the roll jacket. In order to increase the service life of the wear coat, improve the resistance to wear, and reduce the cost for producing the welded-on surface. The basic material of the roll jacket () is steel and contains up to 0.45 percent of C. The welded-on surface () is designed as a single-layer weld, and the wear coat contains 12.5 to 14.0 percent of Cr at least in an external zone that surrounds the surface of the roll jacket. Also disclosed are a method for producing the roll (), a method for repairing a used roll (), a welding additive and a welding rod for producing the welded-on surface.

A composition used for coating machine parts used in the production of pig iron or steel may include aluminum nitride (AlN) in a proportion of from 10% by weight to 40% by weight, one or more metal-oxidic substances in a proportion of from &#x2267;2 to 10% by weight, of which at least one comes from the group consisting of aluminum oxide, zirconium oxide, and LD converter dust, and an inorganic binder in a proportion of up to 70% by weight, where the % by weight are based on the total weight of the composition. A suspension based on the composition, and the use of the composition or the composition suspension for coating machine parts used in the production of pig iron or steel, are also disclosed.

An injector insert pipe is arranged in the gas channel of a nozzle for injecting oxygen-containing gas into a pig iron production unit, wherein an interspace which surrounds the pipe is present over the entire pipe length between the wall of the gas channel and the pipe outer wall. The pipe extends at least as far as the nozzle end face which contains the mouth of the gas channel. The pipe space is connected to an oxygen-containing gas feed line, and the interspace is connected to a protective gas supply line. In a process, oxygen-containing gas is fed into the pipe space, which after it has flowed through the pipe, enters the production unit at an entry velocity, and the interspace is simultaneously flowed through by a gas which exits into the production unit at an exit velocity, wherein the entry velocity is greater than the exit velocity.
