The present invention relates to a simplified device and a process-technically simplified and also more rapidly applicable method for transporting readily cut and filled hose pieces within a machine for producing pouches filled with brewable material. The device according to the invention has a transport wheel which has several supports distributed over its circumference, each holding a pouch which are pivotally mounted on the transport wheel. In the method according to the invention, a hose piece for forming a pouch with at least one chamber between a head and a bottom is inserted in the radial direction into a support of the transport wheel. The present invention relates to a pouch and a method for making the same. In the inventive method, which is adapted to produce pouches having a limited amount of fusible material, a heat-sealable cord is arranged on a web forming confronting side surface of each pouch. Those confronting side surfaces are fused by heating the heat-sealable cord. This invention concerns an infusion bag, especially for tea, which has a top part with folded down corners and a middle part folded over it, to which a string with two free ends is attached that goes from one side of the top part through a hole in the folded down parts forming a loop on the other side of the top part and comes back, whereby the two free ends are drawn up through the loop laid over the top edge of the infusion bag and pulled to form a knot. The solution in the invention is characterized by the fact that two holes are made in the top part at a lateral distance next to one another, on the left and right of the longitudinal axis of the bag; each hole goes through a folded down corner and the middle of the top part; by the fact that the string forms a loop and one end goes through one hole and the other end through the second hole; by the fact that the loop is laid over the top edge of the infusion bag, and both ends of the string go up through the loop to form a double knot. For the separation of a pocket from the pocket string the continuously advancing pocket string is grasped at a predefined point near the perforation of the pocket to be separated and is subjected to an acceleration in the forward direction of the pocket string in such fashion that the relative movement causes the pocket to separate from the pocket string.
