A trimmer head () is disclosed arranged to be driven around a rotational axis (ax), via an interface (), to rotate a trimmer line (). The trimmer head () comprises a housing (), the interface (), a trimmer line spool ('), and an automatic feed mechanism (). The automatic feed mechanism () is configured to release a trimmer line () spooled around the trimmer line spool (′) when the trimmer head () is subjected to a change in rotational speed, via the interface (), at a higher rate than a threshold rate of change in rotational speed. The trimmer head () further comprises an actuator (′) connected to the automatic feed mechanism () such that a manual actuation of the actuator (′) releases the trimmer line () spooled around the trimmer line spool (′). The present disclosure further relates to a trimmer () comprising a trimmer head ().

Trimmer head and trimmer

A trimmer head arranged to be driven to rotate a trimmer line, where the trimmer head includes a housing and an inner body connected to a trimmer line spool. The inner body is arranged to be movable relative the housing so that a trimmer line spooled around the trimmer line spool is released and pulled out by a centrifugal force caused by the rotation of the trimmer head, thereby allowing feed of the trimmer line. The trimmer further includes drive means for driving the trimmer head to rotate, and the trimmer is arranged to cause a relative movement of the inner body relative the housing by changing the rotation speed of the trimmer head.

A hand-held cutting device () including an elongated member (), a trimmer head (), and a power unit operably coupled to the trimmer head () to selectively cause rotation of the trimmer head (). The trimmer head () includes a line holding assembly () to hold and selectively release trimmer line (), and a housing to house the line holding assembly (), wherein the line holding assembly () includes a core (), a line-release knob (), and a spool () configured to hold the trimmer line (). The knob () is axially movable with respect to the core () between an extended first position and a retracted second position, the knob () extending outwardly from the housing and being non-rotatably fixed to the core () when the knob () is in the first position.

A trimmer head for a hand-held cutting device may include a first housing portion, a line holding assembly to hold and selectively release trimmer line, and a second housing portion operably coupled to the first housing portion to house the line holding assembly. The line holding assembly may include a spool configured to hold the trimmer line and a core operably coupled to the spool. The line holding assembly may be configured such that rotational movement of the core causes corresponding movement of the spool, but movement of the core in an axial direction does not cause corresponding movement of the spool.

A handle for a hand held engine powered tool may include at least one lever or button for controlling the tool. The handle is made of at least two handle sections joined together. The lever or button for controlling the tool is however only secured in one of the handle sections in order to reduce the required grade of precision between the handle sections without affecting the performance of the lever or button.

This invention relates to a flexible intake system for a crankcase scavenged two-stroke internal combustion engine () having an additional air supply to its transfer ducts. The intake system comprises a flexible intake duct () connecting a fuel supply unit () e.g. a carburetor with an engine cylinder () and at least one flexible air duct () connecting a valve housing () for additional air with the engine cylinder. The end portion of the flexible intake duct () and at least one air duct () is secured to the cylinder by means of a baffle () made of a stiffer material than the ducts () themselves.

A throttle control device for a hand held tool, such as a chain saw, is provided. The tool is provided with a forwardly extending wire for transmitting a motion from a throttle control lever turnably arranged about a first axis to a throttle valve. One end of the wire is secured to a wire arm that is turnably arranged about a second axis. The wire arm is provided with one or several teeth cooperating with the throttle control lever and the second axis is arranged behind the first axis.
