Dispensing systems for delivering a product from the inside of a container to a receptacle, cup, or container include valve systems and other dispensing configurations to reduce mess, parts, and costs associated with such dispensing systems.

A dispensing system includes a pour cap for a container and a timing device configured to visually indicate when a dose has been dispensed from the dispensing system, the timing device being securable to either the pour cap or the container and configurable based on a product being dispensed.

A dispensing pump includes a polymer compression spring assembly, base vents and a flow baffle. The dispensing pump includes a pump base, and a dispensing head having a piston stem. The polymer compression spring assembly includes a slotted tubular spring element and first and second loading cones received at opposing ends of the slotted tubular spring element. The venting ports allow air to escape when capping the container after filling and the flow baffle reduces or prevents the product from being pulled into the pump accumulator before residual air (headspace) has been evacuated from the container during the initial priming strokes.

A dispensing pump includes a polymer compression spring assembly. The dispensing pump includes a pump base, and a dispensing head having a piston stem. The polymer compression spring assembly includes a slotted tubular spring element and first and second loading cones received at opposing ends of the slotted tubular spring element. The first loading cone is fixed relative to the pump base while the second loading cone is axially movable with the piston stem and dispensing head. The tubular spring element is disposed coaxially about the piston stem between the cones. When the dispensing head is compressed, the loading cones axially compress toward each other whereby the slotted tubular spring element radially expands to create an opposing contraction force, and in turn, an axial extension force. When released, the spring element elastically contracts to its at rest shape, returning the loading cones and dispensing head to their at rest positions.

A dispenser includes a dispenser body and a base, wherein the base is attached to the dispenser body and a piston in the base is seated in a fluid passage of the dispenser body to define a dispensing chamber which may be filled by movement of the dispenser body relative to the base and emptied by the return of the dispenser body to the original position relative to the base.

Dispensers and methods for using the same

A dispensing closure for dispensing flowable product from a squeeze container includes a closure body having an upper deck and a dispensing orifice within the upper deck. A timing piston extends downwardly from the upper deck and is located adjacent to the dispensing orifice. The timing piston is movable between an open position wherein a flared piston neck is spaced from the dispensing orifice, and a closed position wherein the flared piston neck closes off the dispensing orifice. A timing vent within the upper deck is in communication with a piston chamber to allow air to escape the piston chamber. An air intake orifice within the upper deck allows air to enter the piston chamber, and a ball valve structure adjacent the bottom surface of the upper deck cooperates with the air intake orifice to control the flow of air through the air intake orifice.

Bellow actuated pump devices for dispensing a product from a container may include a bellow and a base or a bellow, a base, and a valve having two or more valves wherein actuation of the bellow opens a discharge portion of the valve and dispenses a product and the de-actuation of the bellow opens an intake portion of the valve and refills the pump for the next actuation.

A bellow actuated pump may be attached to a pouch using a pouch fitment integrated with a base of the pump or to which the pump may be attached, wherein the pouch fitment includes one or more curved wings and each of the wings has one or more weld ribs wherein at least two weld ribs cross to provide a contact for sealing with a pouch.
