Contact-making device and method for connecting an electric conductor, in particular a wire-like and/or thread-like electric conductor which is arranged in a textile material, electrically to an electronic component. The device includes a substrate material, and at least one contact, which is formed on the substrate material, to connect the electric conductor electrically to the electronic component, the contact comprising a movable section and an immovable section. The movable section is formed such that, during the electrical connection operation, it is arranged substantially on a surface side opposite the immovable section.

Method for connecting an electric conductor electrically to an electronic component

A method for analyzing fingerprint images includes picking up a sequence of images at very short time intervals, while a finger is being placed onto an electronic fingerprint sensor. A criterion for recognizing a live finger is extracted from variations in the images. The images are defined as a pixel raster having different gray values, with the aid of which the pixels are assigned binary values of zero or one. Significant changes in the values are detected and compared, with the aid of distinctive numbers or the like, to known typical changes that occur regularly in a particular image class.

Method for electrically connecting an electrical conductor to an electronic component including the steps of providing a textile material in which at least one flexible, wire-like and/or thread-like electrical conductor is arranged, providing the electrical conductor relative to an electrically conductive contact point of the electronic component, and electrically connecting the conductor to the contact point comprising the steps of electrically connecting an at least partly electrically conductive auxiliary contact to the conductor, and electrically connecting the auxiliary contact to the contact point, wherein the auxiliary contact is a metal lamina. In one embodiment, the auxiliary contact and the conductor may be joined to one another as they are joined to the contact point.

Construction and electrical connection technique in textile structures

The sensor is provided for the capacitive acquisition of images, in particular fingerprint images. The capacitors assigned to each pixel are supplemented by reference electrodes which are capacitively coupled to one another with coupling capacitances. Parallel acquisition of the image with the measuring electrodes and the additional reference electrodes yields, on the one hand, an image subdivided in accordance with the grid, and, on the other hand, local averaging resulting from the capacitive coupling is performed, which is used as a local reference value.

Method and device for capacitive image acquisition

Sensor elements are arranged in a hexagonal grid. A processor element in the form of a primitive automaton is assigned to each of the sensor elements in the grid. The processor elements are set up to perform algorithms which enable lines of a fingerprint to be simplified such that characteristic minutiae of the fingerprint (endings and branchings of the lines) can be extracted. The processor elements are embodied using CMOS/Neuron MOS threshold value logic or using CMOS/NMOS pass transistor logic. The image grid can be read out via read-out circuits as a matrix.

Image acquisition apparatus

An associative memory contains cells that are formed of a series circuit of an ordinary PMOS transistor with a PMOS transistor with a floating gate. The ordinary PMOS transistor receives of an input vector and the gate of the second PMOS transistor is connected to a learning input. For the associative access, a second vector can be applied to the drain terminal of the second PMOS transistor and, upon readout, the current flow through the respective series circuit is evaluated column-by-column by current evaluator circuits.
