A climate chamber, which is in particular suitable for chemical and/or biological samples, comprises a climate compartment defined by a housing. Inside the climate compartment an analysis device, such as a microscope, is at least partially arranged. Further, the housing comprises an inlet opening for supplying a conditioning medium flow. For preventing condensation at condensate-sensitive components the medium flow is directed such that it at least partially flows against the analysis device and/or the sample carrier.

Climate chamber for microscopes

The invention relates to a particle injector for introducing particles into a carrier flow of a microfluidic system, especially for injecting biological cells into the carrier flow of a cell sorter. The particle injector includes an inlet for receiving the carrier flow, an outlet for discharging the carrier flow including the introduced particles, a carrier flow channel which connects the inlet to the outlet, and an injection channel flowing into the carrier flow channel for introducing the particles into the carrier flow. The inventive particle injector is characterized in that the carrier flow channel has substantially no dead volume.

Device and method for coupling lines to fluidic microsystems

An apparatus for examination of chemical and/or biological samples, comprises a sample support () for receiving the samples (). Further, the apparatus comprises an objective () for observation of the sample () through a sample support wall (). A gap () is formed between an outer surface () of the sample support wall () and an exit lens () of the objective (). According to the invention, an automatic supply device () for automatic supply of immersion medium () is provided between the outer surface () of the sample support wall () and the exit lens () of the objective ().

Apparatus for examination of chemical and/or biological samples

In a method for correcting for the size and/or shape of a measuring volume ()in a chemical and/or biological sample (), especially in fluorescence spectroscopy, a measuring volume () located within the sample () is imaged to a detector means (), using observing optics (). The imaging is effected through a sample carrier w all () of a sample carrier () containing the sample (). In the next step, the thickness of the sample carrier wall () is automatically determined. Thereafter, at least one lens () is shifted automatically along an optical axis of the observing optics () to correct for the size and/or shape of the measuring volume () as a function of the thickness of the sample carrier wall ().

Method and device for correcting for the size and/or shape of a measuring volume in a chemical and/or biological sample

In a method for analyzing a chemical and/or biological sample, particularly in high- and medium throughput screening systems, an observation beam () is focused in an observation volume () of the sample. For analyzing the sample, the observation beam () is moved in the sample. According to the inventions, to improve the quality of the measurement, the observation beam is moved continuously in the observation volume ().
