A refrigerator has a function display panel mounted to the housing, for indicating functional states and/or operational parameters of the refrigerator. The function display panel contains electrically charged pigment carriers that can be moved under the influence of an electric field. A plurality of electrodes apply an electric field to the pigment carriers. The electrodes are each assigned to one display element of the function display panel.

An auxiliary cooling device is used in another main cooling device, such as a refrigerator. The auxiliary cooling device includes a thermoelectric element, such as a Peltier element, which includes a heat source and a heat sink. The heat sink is used to directly or indirectly cool an item, such as a bottle of liquid. The heat source, which is insulated from the heat sink, is in close thermal contact with a heat exchange fluid in a container. The heat exchange fluid is used as a thermal buffer for the waste heat generated by the cooling process. That waste heat may be transmitted into the main storage chamber of the main cooling device.

Auxiliary cooling device

A cleaning apparatus is provided for a preferably planar surface, in particular a window pane, and has a wiping device and a plunger which keeps the wiping device in contact with the surface and also, by way of an open side, bears against the surface and seals it around the edge. A suction device generates a negative pressure in the plunger. The plunger is provided with driving rollers, which are actuated by motor, for moving the plunger together with the wiping device. The suction device has at least two fans which are each provided with their own outlet opening.

Cleaning apparatus for a preferably planar surface

An auxiliary cooling device to be used in another cooling device, which auxiliary cooling device includes a thermoelectric element, such as a Peltier element, provided with a heat source and a heat sink connected in a circuit. The heat sink is used for directly or indirectly cooling an item, for example a bottle of fluid. The heat source, which is thermally isolated with respect to the heat sink, is in close thermal contact with a heat exchange fluid in a container. The heat exchange fluid is used as a thermal buffer for the waste heat generated by the cooling process.

A freezer includes a refrigerating surface that is capable of freezing and a measuring circuit for estimating the quantity of ice located on the refrigerating surface and for furnishing a warning signal when the estimated quantity of ice exceeds a limit value. The freezer includes a sensor sensing at least one climatic condition and a refrigerating surface periodically freezing, and a measuring circuit having at least one sensor and a time measuring device estimating a quantity of ice on said refrigerating surface based upon various factors. A warning signal is supplied when an estimated quantity of ice exceeds a predetermined limit value.

An icemaker for a refrigeration device contains a refrigerant circuit and an ice container that is located in a subassembly housed in a refrigeration compartment of the refrigeration device. The ice container is in thermal contact with the refrigerant circuit by a first heat exchanger. A second sub-assembly that is located in a freezer compartment of the refrigeration device contains a second heat exchanger of the refrigerant circuit. Water in the ice container is cooled by the dissipation of heat from the second heat exchanger to the freezer compartment.

Refrigerator and icemaker for the refrigerator

A heat-insulating walling includes an outer casing that is vacuum-tight as far as possible and with an inner lining being vacuum-tight as far as possible and spaced from the latter. The inner lining and the outer casing are connected to one another, vacuum-tight, by a connecting profile. The connecting profile has an at least approximately U-shaped cross section and has a diaphragm-like base. The connecting profile, together with the outer casing and the inner lining, surrounds an interspace filled with heat-insulation material. The U-shaped connecting profile can engage with its legs over the outer casing and the inner lining. The legs can be vacuum-tightly secured to the inner lining and the outer casing.

Heat-insulating walling

A cooling device for installation in a furniture niche includes at least one thermally insulating container defining a cooling space and having a door for sealing the space, and a cooler having a compressor, a condenser, and a ventilator. The base has at least two sidewalls, a front region disposed near the door, a rear region, at least one air supply aperture at the front region, and an exhaust aperture at the rear region. The base houses the compressor, condenser, and ventilator. The base is disposed below the cooling space and is force ventilated by the ventilator through the air supply aperture and the exhaust aperture. The exhaust aperture is in at least one of the sidewalls, preferably, in the rear region of the base averted from the door. Preferably, the cooling device is installed in a furniture niche of a kitchen unit.

A heat-insulating wall, such as a refrigerator door or housing, includes a substantially vacuum-tight outer paneling, an inner paneling, a substantially vacuum-tight connecting diaphragm formed from material having low heat conduction, a diaphragm cover formed from material having low heat conduction, and a protective profile with an opposite magnetic pole or a magnetic seal. The diaphragm is respectively vacuum-tightly connected to the inner paneling and to the outer paneling at free borders thereof. The outer paneling, the diaphragm, and the inner paneling define an evacuable cavity that is filled with an evacuable supporting material. The diaphragm cover covers at least a part of the diaphragm. The protective profile is secured one or both of the inner paneling and the outer paneling and substantially covers the diaphragm cover.
