A cranium bracing system includes a strut mount adapter and a bracing strut, wherein the strut mount adapter is adapted to connect the bracing strut to a cranium hole base member which is rigidly connected to a patient's cranium. The strut mount adapter includes a first connecting section with one or more engaging members configured to engage with the correspondingly formed cranium hole base member to fixedly connect the strut mount adapter to the cranium hole base member. The strut mount adapter further includes a second connecting section configured to engage with a correspondingly formed connecting section of the bracing strut to connect the strut mount adapter to the bracing strut, and a passage extending through the strut mount adapter and having a first passage opening at the first connecting section and an opposed second passage opening.

Cranium bracing system

A medical mechatronic male interface device couples a surgical assistance system to a mount. The male interface device includes a base including an end face and a functional body extending from the end face, a first mechanical coupling for positive and/or non-positive coupling to a medical mechatronic female interface device, and at least one first electronic interface configured to connect to a second electronic interface of the female interface device. The functional body includes a centering device that centers the surgical assistance system free of play relative to the base. The centering device includes a first functional surface, a second functional surface, and a third functional surface that together at least partially define a three-sided pyramid. The first mechanical coupling includes a first undercut and a second undercut on the functional body that each define a segment engageable from behind.

A sterility-preserving robotic frontend-system, including a flexible trajectory-guide including at least one force- and/or torque-transmitting coupling-member, a baffle-member separating a sterile section from a non-sterile section, and a sterility-sleeve attached to the baffle-member; an actuator unit having a sensor unit that senses at least one of a) whether a trajectory-guide is placed with respect to the actuator unit in a manner that allows engaging-members to accurately engage an actuator interface, and b) whether the engaging-members have accurately engaged the actuator-interface; and a retainer-receptacle adapted to temporarily accommodate the trajectory guide, and to restrain flexibility of the trajectory-guide while it is accommodated. A packaging-container having an inner sterile volume containing the retainer-receptacle and the trajectory-guide and a method of setting up such a sterility-preserving robotic frontend-system.

A head-holder support for attaching a medical head-holder to a patient table is provided that has a rigid base body, an adjustable and lockable head-holder interface at the base body, which is adapted to adjustably couple the head-holder to the base body by providing at least three degrees of freedom for the spatial relative position between the head-holder and the base body, wherein the at least three degrees of freedom are lockable so as to establish a rigid coupling between the head-holder and the base body, and at least one robotic arm interface at the base body, which is adapted to provide a rigid coupling between a robotic arm and the base body.

A medical mechatronic male interface device for coupling a surgical assistance system to a mounting structure has a base with an end face, a functional body, extending from the end face, first mechanical coupling means for positive and/or non-positive coupling to a corresponding medical mechatronic female interface device, and at least one first electronic interface for connecting to a corresponding second electronic interface of the female interface device. The functional body has a centring device to center the surgical assistance system free of play relative to the base. The centring device has a first functional surface, a second functional surface, and a third functional surface that are not parallel to each other and that have normals which do not lie in a common plane. A corresponding female interface device and a mounting arm and a surgical assistance system are also described.

The present invention relates to an adjustable trajectory guide having a guide portion adapted to hold or provide a guiding for a medical instrument along a defined trajectory, and at least one adjustment section comprising: at least one elongated flexible beam member connected at its first end to the guide portion, and having at its second end a first engagement interface adapted to provide a connection to a support structure holding the trajectory guide; at least one second engagement interface which is movable relative to the at least one beam member and which is adapted to provide a connection to an actuator, at least one coupling member coupling the first end of the beam member to the second engagement interface, wherein the coupling member is capable of transmitting force and/or torque from the second engagement interface to the first end of the beam member. The present Invention further relates to a trajectory guide adjustment system comprising such trajectory guide, and corresponding method for aligning an elongated medical instrument utilizing such trajectory guide adjustment system.
