The A hand-held power tool includes a tool holderfor holding a tool and a pneumatic striking mechanism for periodically generating impacts on the tool held in the tool holder. The striking mechanism includes a guiding tube, an exciter piston, a striker, a pneumatic chamber closed by the exciter piston and the striker in the guiding tube, and a compensating opening in the guiding tube for ventilating the pneumatic chamber. A cap covers the compensating opening on an outside of the guiding tube. The cap is open in an opening direction which is largely tangential to the guiding tube.

Hand-held power tool

A side handle () is provided for a handheld power tool (). The user can grasp the side handle () by a grip element (). A ring-shaped clamp is provided for clamping the side handle () onto the handheld power tool (). The clamp () has two ends () that can be joined. A pre-tensioned spring () presses the joinable ends () against a stop () in order to join them under a force that acts in an effective direction (). A release mechanism () is held in a normal position by the force of the pre-tensioned spring () that acts in the effective direction (). Against the force of the pre-tensioned spring () that acts in the effective direction (), the user can deflect the release mechanism () into a release position in order to cancel the force that presses the joinable ends against the stop.

Side handle

A pneumatic striking mechanism includes a guide cylinder in which a freely moving piston and an exciter piston are arranged movably along a striking axis. The guide cylinder has a plastic. The striking mechanism includes a pneumatic chamber sealed off by the guide cylinder, by the freely moving piston and by the exciter piston, as well as a drive for periodically moving the exciter piston, as a result of which the freely moving piston is excited to execute a periodical movement between the striking surface and the exciter piston.

Pneumatic striking mechanism and hand-held power tool

The tool holder according to the invention for a chipping hammer has a tool receptacle for receiving a tool and a tool securing device for securing the tool in the tool receptacle. The tool securing device provides a shaft having an eccentrically arranged mandrel and at least one end piece and a bar having at least one eye in which the end piece engages in a form-fitting manner. The tool securing device is pivotable into at least one first position for inserting and removing the tool and into at least one second position for securing the tool. The eye has a non-circular cross-section.

A driving power is reduced if the detected acceleration (a) is greater than a threshold value (A), the threshold value (A) being selected to be greater than maximum acceleration values (a, a) that occur on a workpiece during the striking operation of the hand-held power tool ().

An electric power tool includes a percussion mechanism () located in an external housing () of the power tool () and driven by a driving motor () connected with the percussion mechanism () by a gear unit (). The present invention provides a a headlight operable as a running light of a vehicle and, in particular, as a headlight of the vehicle for selectively projecting a low and a high beam. The headlight includes a reflector having a light source disposed therein. A beam position adjusting device operates to move the light source between its low beam position and its high beam position. The beam position adjusting device includes an electric powered drive motor and a displaceable interconnecting element interconnecting the beam position adjusting device and the light source. The device also includes a motion translation element for translating the drive output of the drive motor to displacement of the displaceable interconnecting element, the beam position adjusting device being operable to dispose the light source in its high beam position. A return movement device automatically biases the light source to move to its low beam disposition when the drive motor is not powered.
