A subsea housing assembly has a subsea housing with a first and a second housing portion. The first and second housing portions have first and second electrical connections for data communication. A wall separates the first and second housing portions. The assembly has an inductive coupler with first and second coupling sections disposed in the first and second housing portions. The inductive coupler provides inductive coupling across the wall for data communication between the first and second electrical connections. The inductive coupler has inner and outer coils wherein the outer coil at least partly surrounds the inner coil and at least part of the wall extends between the inner and outer coil. Soft magnetic material is arranged around the outer coil and/or inside the inner coil such that the magnetic flux is collected and guided from the outer to the inner coil and/or from the inner to the outer coil.

An electrical rotating machine includes a machine housing accommodating a rotor, and a stator. In order to allow the method to be carried out without structural changes to the electrical rotating machine a first physical value of the stator and a second physical value of the rotor are measured outside the machine housing, and a state variable of the electrical rotating machine is determined from the first physical value and the second physical value. The state variable, or alternatively the first and second physical value, are sent to a cloud, in particular wirelessly or by hardwired or optical means.

In a device and method for non-destructive materials testing with at least one ultrasonic transducer, the transducer is able to be moved by a movement system in at least one direction to a workpiece surface. The emission of ultrasonic by the ultrasonic transducer is able to be synchronized with the activation of the movement system so that electrical interference caused by the movement system occurs at times at which no echo is expected for ultrasonic emitted by the transducer. The method and device can be applied to non-destructive materials testing with ultrasound.

Calibration for a nondestructive ultrasonic material testing system is provided, the system having a multiplicity of ultrasound transducers which are linearly movable as a whole but are arranged fixed with respect to one another, for example mounted fixed in a single sensor holder. In order to achieve optimal alignment of the sensors with a specimen, the mechanical tolerance-induced offset between the beam direction of the ultrasound transducers and the ideal beam directions is found, for example with the aid of a mean straight line. It is then minimized by using the available degrees of freedom of the sensor holder, for example possible tilting of the sensor holder.

Calibration for a nondestructive material testing system

Calibration for an ultrasonic nondestructive materials testing system is specified, the system having an array of ultrasonic transducers which can be linearly moved and pivoted. In order to compensate for the offset between the beam direction of the ultrasonic transducers and the rotation point of the pivoting system or another desired point of the transducers, this offset is determined using a calibrating body which is, for example, spherical.

The system is intended to provide an isolated power supply for an electrical load. It contains a generator for producing a supply signal, and a transmission path having two separate branch elements. The first branch element is designed for transmission of the supply signal (S) in the forward direction, and the second branch element is designed for transmission of the supply signal in the backward direction, so that this results in a closed circuit for the supply signal. The two branch elements contain means for isolation. The load can be supplied by the supply signal with an electrical power of at most 100 mW.
