The invention relates to a device and a method for cleaning or lubricating at least a connecting section of a drill rod element, with a housing, a channel-like recess and at least one washing means or lubricating means which is arranged along the channel-like recess. The channel-like recess is designed for horizontal insertion of at least a lower connecting section of the drill rod element when the drill rod element is substantially in vertical alignment. The invention further relates to a drilling rig with the said device for cleaning or lubricating.

The invention relates to a drill rod magazine for vertical storage of drill rod elements, having a base frame, on which at least one support means is arranged that has two substantially horizontally directed retaining arms which, by formation of a receiving area, are parallel to and spaced apart from each other, wherein the drill rod elements are retained in a vertical position between the retaining arms. Along at least one retaining arm a clamping rod is supported in a movable manner which is in operative connection with a tensioning means that exerts a tensioning force onto the drill rod elements for retaining the drill rod elements in a clamping manner in the receiving area.

The invention relates to a drilling device and a related drilling method, in which provision is made for a mast, a drilling carriage that is guided along the mast in a displaceable manner and a drive unit for moving the drilling carriage on the mast. In accordance with the invention the drive unit has both a hydraulic cylinder drive and a rope winch drive. The drilling carriage can be coupled with the hydraulic cylinder drive and with the rope winch drive.
