A motor vehicle headlight element is specified which has at least one light-emitting diode and at least one control apparatus. The control apparatus is suitable for processing a signal which is dependent on a measurement variable and for applying a current, corresponding to the signal, to the light-emitting diode. The control apparatus and the light-emitting diode are arranged on a common mount.

A motor vehicle headlight element is specified which has at least one light-emitting diode and at least one control apparatus. The control apparatus is suitable for processing a signal which is dependent on a measurement variable and for applying a current corresponding to the signal, to the light-emitting diode. The control apparatus and the light-emitting diode are arranged on a common mount.

The invention relates to a lamp base () for a high-pressure discharge lamp with a printed circuit board () mounted inside and populated with electrical components and printed conductors () for electrically contacting the components. At least one electrical contact () is mounted on the printed circuit board () for current supply () to the lamp, and at least one partition () is provided for electrical insulation between the at least one electrical contact () or current supply () and the printed conductors () on the printed circuit board ().

The invention relates to a high-pressure discharge lamp, in particular a vehicle headlight high-pressure discharge lamp, having a lamp base, in whose interior is arranged a starting apparatus for the purpose of starting the gas discharge in the high-pressure discharge lamp and which is provided with an electromagnetic shield, and having a discharge vessel which has an end near to the base and an end remote from the base, a power supply line protruding out of the end, remote from the base, of the discharge vessel being passed back to the lamp base and being electrically coupled to the electromagnetic shield. The electromagnetic shield is preferably connected to the ground reference potential of an operating device of the high-pressure discharge lamp.

An illumination system has at least two light sources of which at least one light source includes an LED, and a driver device designed to operate at least the one LED with a DC signal; a sensor device for determining at least one feature of the light output; an actual value storage device connected to the sensor device for storing an actual value of the feature; a setpoint selection device for storing a setpoint of the feature; and a control device connected on the input side to the actual value storage device for of transmitting the actual value, and to the setpoint selection device for transmitting the setpoint, and which provides the driver device with a control signal that changes a characteristic of the DC signal used for driving the LED such that the actual value approaches the setpoint.
