The invention relates to the domain of retention garments and to those used to facilitate the application of the same. The invention especially relates to a garment or an undergarment to be placed under a retention garment, which is characterized in that it is essentially knitted with at least two different stitch structures, a first, knitted according to a float stitch pattern in a textile material having a smooth outer surface, and a second, knitted according to a weft stitch pattern in an adapted elastic textile material having a weft count of between 240 dtex and 600 dtex, in such a way as to generate a slight compression or retention.

Retention garment or undergarment

A medical bandage consists of a knit fabric made from loop yarns without inlaid yarns. The loop yarns are multifilament yarns having at least one elastic filament, a plurality of synthetic microfilaments and a plurality of cellulose or cellulosic filaments. The bandage has a linear and a non-linear stretching regime, with an operating point lying between them. When it is applied to a patient, it is elastically stretched to the operating point, which allows to generate reproducible, well defined compression forces.

Knitted bandage

The present invention relates to a method for assigning states to stitches of a fabric, wherein the state can vary between a first and a second state, that comprising the steps of allocating a part of the fabric, randomly assigning a state to each stitch of the allocated part of the fabric, evaluating the ratio between the number of stitches in the first state and the number of stitches in the second state, checking if the ratio lies within a predefined range of values, and restarting at step b) if the ratio lies outside the predefined range. The method may be used for manufacturing a medical compression garment.
