A vehicle seat includes a seat part and a backrest. Both the seat part and the backrest may be reversibly moved from a usage position to a stowed position. A sensor detects the position of the seat part. The seat may also be moved to an easy-entry position by rotation about an axis, and another sensor may detect the longitudinal position of the seat part in the easy-entry position.

Vehicle seat

A fixing device for a vehicle seat, especially for a motor vehicle seat, includes a multi-articulated mechanism and a locking device that unlocks the multiarticulated mechanism when the vehicle seat is pivoted or folded back past a defined limiting angle, enabling the vehicle seat to be guided, especially pivoted and longitudinally moved, in a controlled manner, between an unlocked first position and an unlocked second position or vice versa.

A vehicle seat having a seat part and a backrest that can be inclined relative to the seat part to allow transfer between an in-use position and a stowed position includes structure that causes the length of the backrest to change during the transfer. In a particular embodiment, the length of the backrest is greater in the in-use position than in the stowed position to provide satisfactory comfort and safety to an occupant seated in the vehicle seat when it is in the in-use position and to provide a compact arrangement in the stowed position.

The invention discloses a vehicle seat with a stowable central segment seat part. The central segment seat part is supported by means of a support element on an additional seat part and is adjustable in a longitudinal direction relative to said additional seat part. The support element is thereby secured against unwanted movement by means of at least one securing device.
