A control switch for operating a crane. The control switch includes a first interface designed to transfer signals between the control switch and a control unit of the crane. In order to combine, in particular, the robustness and operating reliability of the control switch desired in industrial use with increased functional scope in a cost-effective way, the control switch is provided with a second interface designed to transfer signals between a mobile terminal and the control switch in order to add functions of the mobile terminal to the functional scope of the control switch.

Control switch

A control switch for operating a machine, the control switch including a housing that includes a gripping region for an operator, and a detecting device for detecting an operator. The control switch further includes a safety circuit for activating the control switch when an operator is detected, and deactivating the control switch when the operator is not detected. The safety circuit includes a detecting device that includes at least one sensor operable to detect in a near field an operator's hand holding the control switch in the gripping region. The detecting device includes at least one additional sensor which detects a use of the control switch.

An operating device is provided for manually actuating lifting devices. The device includes at least one switching element arranged in a switch housing, wherein the switching element includes a tappet, which protrudes from the switch housing. The tappet is guided in a sleeve and is covered by a covering element having a threaded ring. The sleeve protrudes outside through an opening in the switch housing, and is held in the switch housing through a threaded joint. The covering element is screwed to the sleeve in a detachable manner through the threaded ring of the covering element. Optionally, a tool is provided for installing the covering element.

Operating device for manual actuation of hoisting equipment

A process and apparatus for positioning an object being moved along a path to a destination using a pole changing three-phase induction motor having at least two fixed driving speeds. The object is initially accelerated along the path of movement to the highest driving speed of the motor, during which the acceleration curve is determined and stored. The acceleration data is then used to calculate the location along the path in advance of the destination at which the motor is switched off and braked until reaching the next lower driving speed, whereupon the motor is operated at the next lower driving speed for a predetermined path length. The motor is then again switched off and braked until its driving speed reaches zero closely proximate the destination, at which point a motor in a gear assembly attached to the motor is operated for final low speed positioning of the object at the destination with a high degree of accuracy. The calculation of the initial switch-off location using, in the preferred embodiment, the dynamically-determined acceleration curve results in rapid and highly accurate object positioning without the need for undesirable buffer paths.
