The present invention relates to binding surfaces for the immobilization of ligands, ligand surfaces and structured surface arrays which present a plurality of identical or different ligands. The invention further relates to a process for the production and the use of such surfaces and to specific binder molecules which can be used for the preparation thereof.

Surface for the immobilization of ligands

A device for optically coupling a first optical element to a second optical element comprises a first optical element with a first radiation penetration surface; a second optical element with a second radiation penetration surface located across from the first radiation penetration surface; and a chamber delimited by the first and second radiation penetration surfaces and a circumferentially closed side wall which connects the first and second radiation penetration surfaces. The circumferentially closed side wall defines a first sector in the first radiation penetration surface and a second sector in the second radiation penetration surface, the area of the first sector being smaller than the area of the first radiation penetration surface, and the area of the second sector being smaller than the area of the second radiation penetration surface. The device further comprises a feeding conduit to the chamber for delivering index-adjusting liquid; and a discharge conduit from the chamber for evacuating index-adjusting liquid or gas from the chamber.

Optical coupling device and method

The invention relates to an an SPR surface plasmon resonance spectroscopy sensor for parallel measurement of a plurality of samples, comprising a body ( ) having several SPR sensor areas ( ) for guiding radiation in order to carry out SPR measurements and which are coated with a material which is suitable for SPR in such a way that each SPR sensor area ( ) can be exclusively associated with a single sample. The radiation conducting body ( ) forms a unit with the SPR sensor areas ( ), whereby the path of the rays guided by the SPR sensor areas ( ) can also extend through the radiation conducting body ( ).

SPR sensor and SPR sensor array

SPR sensor system

The invention relates to a set-up of measuring instruments for the parallel readout of SPR sensors. The aim of the invention is to provide a measuring arrangement for the parallel readout of a plurality of SPR sensors, wherein the readout process should be terminated within an integration period of less than 30 minutes. To this end, a wavelength-selective component ( ) and an optical imaging system (L , L ) are arranged downstream of a light source ( ).
