A turbine blade for a turbomachine having a turbine blade wall and a fluid channel having inlet channel section on the end region leading to the cold side, outlet channel section on the end region leading to the hot side, and central channel section therebetween having a circular cross-section constant along the length. The turbine blade forms an acute angle with the surface of the turbine blade wall over which hot gas flows, and has an intermediate channel section between the inlet and central channel sections, the intermediate channel section having a larger cross-sectional area than the central channel section. The central channel section connects to the intermediate channel section forming a shoulder surface formed on a wall region of the fluid channel and, on the opposing wall region, the intermediate and central channel sections merge with one another in a linear manner with a reduced shoulder height.

Turbine blade

An inventive hot gas seal for sealing an opening, e.g. a gap or hole, in a heat shield element or between heat shield elements of a heat shield or a liner comprises at least one resilient portion for providing a force which is designed such that the hot gas seal can be held in said opening by said force and/or that the sealing efficiency of the hot gas seal is increased by said force. Thus, further means for holding the seal in place and/or for increasing the sealing efficiency are not necessary. The invention is particularly useful if the design of said resilient portion is such that the force provides a holding action and increases the sealing efficiency, at the same time.

Hot gas seal

Disclosed is a gas turbine for a thermal power plant, especially a gas turbine, comprising a rotatable rotor and a duct which can be penetrated by a gas and in which turbine blades for driving the rotor are disposed. The inventive gas turbine is characterized by a blocking device which at least partially prevents the gas from penetrating the duct in a closed position.

The invention relates to a heat shield arrangement for a hot gas (m)-guiding component, which comprises a number of heat shield elements arranged side-by-side on a supporting structure while leaving a gap there between. A heat shield element can be mounted on the supporting structure whereby forming an interior space which is delimited in areas by a hot gas wall to be cooled, with an inlet channel for admitting a coolant into the interior space. According to the invention, a coolant discharge channel is provided for the controlled discharge of coolant from the interior space and, from the interior space, leads into the gap. Coolant can be saved and efficiently used by the specific coolant discharge via the coolant discharge channel, and reduction in pollutant emissions can also be achieved. The heat shield arrangement is particularly suited for linking a combustion chamber of a gas turbine.

An attachment device for coupling one or more removable turbine components to a carrier of a turbine engine. The attachment device may include a securement structure rotatable about an axis of rotation and including one or more arms for grasping an arm extending from a support structure. A fastener may extend from the support structure and be inserted into a fastener receiving recess in the securement structure for preventing the securement structure from rotating and becoming disengaged from the support structure. The attachment device may also include a fastener retaining device for preventing the fastener, which may be a threaded bolt, from becoming disengaged from the attachment device, traveling downstream in a turbine, and damaging a turbine assembly.
