A method is provided for computer-aided mapping of geographically referenced measurements which are collected in association with individual measuring positions. The method is checked by computer with test circles for all pairs of adjacent measuring positions, to determine whether further measuring position falls within them. All such measuring positions in which said test criterion is fulfilled are declared as boundary positions. Furthermore, the inner/outer location is determined and the best possible approximation to the boundary path is determined from the sequence of boundary positions.

A method for operating a combine which, for optimizing the harvesting output, is continuously externally controlled by an operator via a control processor (ST) containing set-point and/or limit operating data and is internally controlled by means of continuous measuring and evaluation of actual operating data (VI, SBI, SHI), in particular traveling data, wherein the absolute and/or relative location coordinates (X, Y) of the combine are continuously detected and, assigned to them, the respective area-specific yield measuring data (EM) are stored, in particular in the form of a yield data register (EK) to be used as a historical data register (HK), wherein the control processor (ST) of the combine has access to a historical data register (HK) and addresses them, in each case prior to the actual coordinates, with the respective location coordinates (X, Y) of the combine, linked with its respective travel data (VI, SBI, SHI) and historical data (DH) stored there, reads them and from them determines fresh set-point or limit operating data (VS, SBS, SHS) and actually specifies them.

A measuring device with a measuring capacitor (C1), through which a bulk flow (KS) is conducted in the form of a layered dielectric. The capacitance measurement signal of the measuring capacitor (C1) is supplied via a signal evaluation circuit (M1) and an analog-digital converter (ADU) to an evaluation processor (MP) and there is calculated together with a velocity signal (Sv) to form a bulk flow value, which is supplied to a display (A). A reference capacitance signal is obtained at a filled second measuring capacitor (C2). The device is suitable in connection with harvesters.
