A haptic operating device having a magnetorheological braking device, a fixed holder, and two braking components. One braking component is non-rotatably connected to the fixed holder. Both braking components are continuously rotatable relative to one another about a rotation axis. A first braking component extends along a rotation axis and comprises a magnetically conductive core. The second braking component comprises a hollow casing part extending around the first braking component. At least one circumferential braking gap filled with a magnetorheological medium is between the first and second braking components. An electrical coil, surrounding the core and around the rotation axis, is between the casing part and the core. Two different radial braking gap portions and a disk contour are formed at a first braking gap portion between the casing part and the core, and a plurality of rolling bodies are arranged as magnetic field concentrators at the periphery of the core in a second braking gap portion.

Haptic control device with a magnetorheological braking device

A haptic operating device for vehicles. The device has a rotatable operating part, a magnetic field source, and a magnetorheological braking device for braking a rotational movement of the operating part. The magnetorheological braking device has two braking components which can be rotated relative to one another and one of which is coupled to the rotatable operating part. The second brake component, acting as an outer brake component, surrounds the first brake component that acts as an inner brake component. A closed magnetorheological brake chamber is provided with a magnetorheological medium and is formed between the two brake components and has a peripheral braking gap.

Haptic operating device comprising a magnetorheological braking device and a rotatable operating part for vehicles

A magnetorheological braking device for setting operating states by way of rotational movements has an axle unit and a rotary body rotatable about the axle unit. The rotatability of the rotary body can be decelerated and/or blocked by a magnetorheological braking apparatus. A sensor apparatus has a magnetic ring unit and a magnetic field sensor for sensing a magnetic field of the magnetic ring unit. A shielding apparatus at least partially shields the sensor apparatus from a magnetic field of a coil unit of the braking apparatus. The shielding apparatus includes a shielding body surrounding the magnetic ring unit and a separating unit between the shielding body and the magnetic ring unit, and having a magnetic conductivity multiple times lower than the shielding body. A holding apparatus connects the shielding apparatus to the rotary body in an at least partially rotationally fixed manner.

Magnetorheological braking device, in particular operating apparatus

A magnetorheological braking device with a fixed holder and a first and second braking component. One of the braking components is connected to the holder and does not rotate relative thereto. The two braking components are continuously rotatable relative to one another. The first braking component extends axially, and the second braking component has a hollow shell part extending around the first braking component. A peripheral gap, filled with a magnetorheological medium, is formed between the first and second braking component. The first braking component has an electric coil and a magnetically conductive core extending axially. Magnetic field concentrators, on the core and/or the shell part, protrude into the gap, creating variable gap height. The electric coil is wound around a section of the core. A magnetic field of the electric coil runs through the core, magnetic field concentrators, and the gap into a wall of the shell part.

Magnetorheological braking device

A device component has a magnetorheological brake device with a static holder and with two brake components. A first brake component is rotationally fixedly to the holder and extends in an axial direction. A second brake component has a hollow, rotary part which is rotatable about the first brake component. An encircling gap between the first and second brake components is filled with a magnetorheological medium. The first brake component has a core of magnetically conductive material which extends in the axial direction. An electrical coil is wound axially around the core and spans a coil plane. A magnetic field of the coil extends transversely through the first brake component. A maximum outer diameter of the electrical coil in a radial direction within the coil plane is greater than a minimum outer diameter of the core in a radial direction transversely to the coil plane.

Device component having a magnetorheological brake device

An operating system with an operating device and an interface device. The operating device has a receiving part and an operating element movably mounted on the receiving part relative to the receiving part for performing an input. A movement resistance for the movability of the operating element is set based on a relative position of the operating element by a controllable braking device and considers a stored assignment between relative positions and movement resistances. The assignment is adjustable via interface device. The interface device displays a coordinate system with default points for a setting range that can be positioned by an input means. The interface device creates a curve, which runs in accordance with the default points, and the interface device displays the curve on the user interface and determines the assignment based on the shape of the curve.

Operating system with at least one operating device and with at least one interface device and method for operating an operating system

A method and an assembly for pivoting a movable component having a drive device with an electric drive motor in order to influence a pivoting of the component between a first setting and a second setting. A position sensor detects a position measure for a setting of the component and a speed parameter for a displacement speed of the component. During a displacement of the component with the speed parameter, an electrical setpoint current intensity for the electric drive motor is ascertained, and an associated setpoint voltage is set. The setpoint voltage is increased if a current intensity flowing through the drive motor is lower than the electrical setpoint current intensity, and the setpoint voltage is reduced if the current intensity flowing through the drive motor is higher than the electrical setpoint current intensity.

Assembly and method

A device component has a magnetorheological braking apparatus with a stationary holder and at least two brake components. One of the two brake components is connected to the holder for conjoint rotation and extends in the axial direction. The two brake components can be rotated relative to each other. The second brake component has a hollow sleeve part and surrounds the first brake component. A closed chamber is formed between the brake components. The second brake component is rotatably accommodated on the first brake component at a first end of the closed chamber. The closed chamber is substantially filled with a magnetorheological medium. A magnetic-field generator forms a magnetic field to influence the medium in the closed chamber. The second brake component is axially slidable on the first brake component to change a volume of the closed chamber to compensate for temperature-related and/or leakage-related volume changes.

Device component for a magnetorheological braking apparatus, having temperature compensation

A device has at least two components which are movable relative to one another. The first component is equipped with a rotary receptacle and wherein the second component is rotatably received on the rotary receptacle. A third component is coupled to the second component. Two connection units which are movable relative to one another and a controllable braking device are included, wherein the braking device is designed as a controllable rotary brake in order to provide controlled damping of a movement of a door device between a closed position and an open position. The first connection unit is formed on the first component, and the second connection unit is pivotably coupled to the third component. The pivot axis is oriented transversely with respect to an axis of rotation of the second component.

Device having components which are movable with respect to one another

An apparatus for carrying out inputs in an input capturing unit that can be coupled to the apparatus. An operating device has a receiving part and an operating element that is rotatably mounted on the receiving part. The operating element can be rotated by a finger to effect an input. A torque for the rotation of the control element can be adjusted by way of a controllable braking device. In addition, the control element has at least two actuating zones. The resistance to movement for the movability of the operating element can be adjusted depending on from which actuation zone the operating element is actuated and/or which actuation zone was previously activated.

Operating device and method for operating an operating device

A device has a sensor unit for detecting measurement data about a relative movement of two components that are moved relative to one another. The sensor unit includes a scale unit connected to one of the components and extending in a movement direction of the relative movement over a measuring section. The scale unit includes a structure having magnetic bodies repeating in a defined manner along the measuring section. The magnetic bodies are axially magnetized and are arrayed having identical magnetic poles along the measuring section and/or the magnetic bodies are radially magnetized and are arrayed in alternation with respect to their magnetic poles along the measuring section. The sensor unit includes a pre-tensioning unit which fixes the arrayed magnetic bodies using a pre-tensioning force.

Device with at least one sensor for acquiring measurement data via a relative movement and a scale device

A magnetorheological brake device has a stationary holder and two brake components. A first brake component is connected to the holder for conjoint rotation and extends in the axial direction. A second brake component includes a hollow sleeve part which can rotate about the first brake component. A gap is formed between the first and second brake components. At least one, two or more rotatable transmission components are arranged in the gap. The gap is filled with a magnetorheological medium. The first brake component has a core which extends in the axial direction and is made of a magnetically conductive material, and an electrical coil which is wound about the core in the axial direction, such that a magnetic field generated by the electrical coil extends across the first brake component.

Magnetorheological brake device and method

An input apparatus, in particular a joystick, has an operating device, a magnetorheological braking device, and a control device for actuating the braking device. The operating device has a support and an operating lever that is pivotable about at least one pivot axis. A sensor senses a pivot angle of the operating lever. The braking device is coupled to the pivot axis in order to damp, in a controlled manner by way of the control device, a pivot movement of the operating lever. The control device actuates the braking device depending on a control command and converts the control command into a haptic signal, preferably a defined sequence of deceleration torques, which can be perceived on the operating lever. A user, as a result of an input made, can receive haptic feedback (so-called force feedback).

Input apparatus and input system, and method for operating an input apparatus

A method for operating an input device. An input element of the input device is manually operated to perform an input into a computer device operatively connected to the input device. Mobility of the input element can be selectively delayed, blocked, and enabled by a controllable magneto-rheological braking device. The mobility of the input element is selectively adjusted by the computer device at least as a function of at least one input condition stored in the computer device. The input device may be a computer mouse.

Method for operating an input device for a computer device, and input device

A method of controlling the movements of at least one controllable door of a motor vehicle and a motor vehicle component. A control device and a sensor arrangement are assigned to the door, and the door has a controllable motion influencing device. A motion of a door wing of the door can be controlled and influenced by way of the motion influencing device in between a closed position and an open position. The sensor arrangement includes a distance sensor in the movable door wing that captures distance data during the motion, and obtains from the distance data captured with the distance sensor in different angular positions, the position of at least one object in the surrounding area of the door wing, by way of triangulation.
