The present disclosure relates devices and a method for monitoring a display image () in a transparent optical projection display. They disclose a display image monitor () comprising a fiber optic face plate () and an image sensor (). The fiber optic face plate () comprises a first surface () with optic fiber ends and a second surface () with corresponding optic fiber ends and transfers light from the first surface () to the second surface () through the optic fibers, wherein the first surface abuts against a part () of the display image () at a focused image plane () and thus the light of the part of the display image enters the optic fiber ends and wherein the second surface is arranged to direct the part of the display image to the image sensor, thereby transferring the part of the display image to the image sensor.

Head-up display for night vision goggles

A head-up display system for a vehicle facilitating the use of night vision goggles for a person in the vehicle during night vision conditions. The system includes a light source for providing light to an image source. The image source is arranged to project an image on a semi-transparent combiner mirror. The combiner mirror is arranged to superimpose the projected image onto a view of the environment in front of the vehicle by transmitting light rays from the environment and at the same time reflecting the projected image towards the eyes of an observer. The system includes a first and a second light source for alternatively providing light to the image source. The first light source is arranged to emit light of a first color to be used during daylight conditions, and the second light source is arranged to emit light of a second color to be used during night vision conditions, wherein the second color is mainly yellow or mainly orange.

A transmitting unit includes a transmitter for transmitting signals of coded information about a position close to the unit in a space substantially unreachable by a satellite-based navigating system so as to provide a receiver arranged on a moving object present in the space with the position information for determining the position of the object. The transmitter is adapted to normally be in an inactive non-transmitting state, and the unit further includes a detector adapted to detect movement of an object within a space and activate the transmitter to transmit signals only when movement of an object in the space is detected.
