A load carrier foot of clamping type includes a tensioning arrangement. The tensioning arrangement includes a cam member and a separate lever. The lever can be operated to pivot the cam member to impart a clamping force to retain the load carrier foot. The lever or a separate release member can be used pivot back the cam member to detach the load carrier foot.

Load carrier foot

A load carrier foot includes a support body having a support surface configured to rest against a first surface of a vehicle, a first bracket configured to grip about a second surface of the vehicle, a second bracket configured to grip about a third surface of the vehicle, and a tensioning arrangement configured to impart a clamping force at between the support surface and the first and the second brackets to retain the load carrier foot to the vehicle. The first and the second brackets are pivotally connected to each other. A load carrying foot according to the present invention has relatively few components while still providing a rigid and strong connection to the vehicle.

A load carrier foot for attaching a load carrier bar to a vehicle and a roof rack having the load carrier foot. The load carrier foot includes a body having a support surface, where the support surface is adapted to rest against a first portion of the vehicle, and a bracket having an aperture adapted to grip about a second portion of the vehicle. An attachment arrangement provides a clamping force between the support surface of the body and the bracket. The bracket includes an aperture adapted to permit the attachment arrangement to be positioned between two positions to enable an easy mounting and dismounting of the load carrier foot.

Load carrier foot and a roof rack

The present invention relates to a vehicle rack arrangement () comprises a load carrying bar (and at least a first clamp rack load carrier foot (). The first clamp rack load carrier foot () comprises a grip member (), a body (), an attachment arrangement () and optionally an intermediate member (). The load carrier foot () comprises a connection arrangement () which interacts with a stop surface () of a load carrying bar () in a retaining manner to thereby, when operating the attachment arrangement (), impart a force component to the load carrying bar () towards the body (). A stop surface () of the load carrying bar () prevents the connection arrangement () from displacement in a direction parallel with the longitudinal direction (X) of the load carrying bar (), after assembly therewith. The present invention provides for a load carrier foot () having very few distinct components, which is cheap to manufacture and which enables an end user to connect the clamp rack load carrier foot () to a load carrying bar () in a simple and easy manner.
