A compact photovoltaic generation assembly exhibiting improved photovoltaic efficiency and an extended operating life as compared to conventional photovoltaic systems is described. The assembly can also include a power supply for use at times when light energy is not readily available.

Compact photovoltaic generation assembly and power supply

A modular tower assembly particularly suited for deployment in a parking lot area for collecting solar energy and precipitation includes left-hand and right-hand support modules, each having a base and a support pedestal having a bottom affixed to one end of the base. A solar panel mount has one end affixed to a pedestal top and cantilevered over the base. The left-hand support module pedestal is joined to the right hand support module pedestal such that the base of the left-hand module extends oppositely from the base of the right-hand module. A solar panel assembly is affixed to each of solar panel mounts. The modular assembly is particularly well-adapted for large scale collection of solar power for subsequent conversion to electrical power directly connected to a local power grid. Each tower is further adapted for the collection of fresh water from natural precipitation.

A toothbrush comprising a floss bundle primary cleaning element instead of conventional bristles. The floss bundle, having no sharp tips, can clean, absorb and polish without risk of cutting gums. No toothpaste is required. Because of the soft, smooth nature of the floss bundle, the invention can be used dry as well as wet, and, thus, function safely and properly where no water is available. This floss bundle is held in a clamp, having upper and lower jaws, fixed at one end of a handle. The lower jaw comprises a sleeve which encircles a threaded bolt formed at this end of the handle. The clamp jaws are opened and closed by rotating a nut located just below the lower jaw, also encircling the bolt. In this way the floss bundle can be removed and replaced between uses. The other end of the handle is also formed into a threaded bolt, having a hole diametrically bored through it, into which the wide end of a half toothpick is removably fitted. The toothpick is secured in place by rotating a nut encircling this bolt unit the nut advances into contract with the protruding toothpick, forming a friction grip. Once used, the toothpick is released by rotating the nut in the opposite direction, and then removed with the user's fingers.

Disclosed is a rotary internal combustion engine having a generally circular geometry in vertical cross section. The engine's rotor is circular, and it is disposed in a housing in two portions, each portion being a section of a different circle, the circles being offset along the engine's vertical centerline. One of these circles is identical in center and radius as the rotor. The other, owing to the displacement between its center and the center of rotation of the rotor, has a gap between it and the rotor. The engine's crank shaft rotates about an axis passing through the center of this second circle. The rotor has a plurality of radially extending holes connected by connecting rods from the crank shaft, each connecting rod having attached to it a sealing means making the holes effective as combustion chambers. This improved engine is unique in the design of the individual combustion chambers and pistons which undergo reciprocal movement within said chambers. The cooperative relationship of these pistons and connecting rods attached thereto affords the ability of the rotor to transition from the compression cycle to the power cycle essentially free from the sealing problems commonly encountered in engines of this design.
