A switch-fuse module includes: a security device, a fuse; and a fuse canister having the fuse inside. The security device includes at least one slider linearly movable between open and closed positions; an earthing switch that is galvanically connected to the fuse, and is coupled to the slider such that the open position effects an open state of the earthing switch and the closed position effects an closed state of the earthing switch; a propulsion element configured to move the earthing switch from the open to the closed state when discharging; and a locking mechanism configured to block access to the fuse in a locked state. The slider is coupled to the locking mechanism such that the slider in the closed position while the locking mechanism is in the unlocked state, so that the fuse is only accessible if it is ensured that the fuse is earthed.

Switch-fuse module

A switch-fuse module and a ring main unit. The switch-fuse module includes: a housing having therein a first enclosure including a first insulating gas and a second enclosure including a second insulating gas; at least one switch disconnector arranged within the first enclosure; and at least one fuse at least partially surrounded by the second enclosure; wherein each of the first insulating gas and the second insulating gas has a global warming potential less than a global warming potential of SF6, and the first enclosure is different and separate from the second enclosure.

A switch-fuse module and a ring main unit. The switch-fuse module includes: a housing having therein a switch enclosure including an insulating gas and a cable compartment that is different and separate from the switch enclosure; at least one switch disconnector arranged within the switch enclosure; and at least one fuse canister with a vertically oriented longitudinal axis; wherein the fuse canister i) is adapted to receive a fuse, and ii) is arranged within the cable compartment, and the insulating gas has a global warming potential less than a global warming potential of SF6.

A fuse adapter kit for a fuse of a switch-fuse module and a switch-fuse module. The fuse adapter kit includes: a fuse canister having an axially elongated fuse receiving portion adapted to receive the fuse; and at least one terminal having i) an axial fuse receiving opening for receiving an axial end portion of the fuse, ii) a lateral protrusion forming a mechanical male connector, and iii) an electrical terminal connector laterally arranged within the mechanical male connector for electrically connecting the fuse to an electrical canister connector; wherein the fuse canister has a fuse mounting wall portion extending axially along a back side of the fuse receiving portion, the fuse mounting wall portion having at least three fuse mounting openings at different axial positions along the fuse mounting wall portion, each of the fuse mounting openings forming a mechanical female connector matching the mechanical male connector of the terminal to form a mechanical plug connection, and wherein the fuse canister further includes the electrical canister connector arranged at at least one of the fuse mounting openings for electrically connecting to the electrical terminal connector.

Fuse adapter kit for a fuse of a switch-fuse module

A gas-insulated puffer-type switch device for operating inside a sealed gas tight enclosure of an electric power distribution switchgear, the sealed gas tight enclosure being filled with a dielectric gas having a global warming potential lower than that of SF6. The switch device has at least one of improved compactness, minimised electrical stress, maximised heat dissipation and reduced environmental impact.

A load-break switch has a housing holding insulation gas at ambient pressure; a first main contact and a second main contact being movable relative to each other in an axial direction of the switch; a first arcing contact and a second arcing contact being movable relative to each other in the axial direction and defining an arcing region where an arc is formed during a current breaking operation, wherein the arcing region is located radially inward from the first main contact; a pressurizing system pressurizing a quenching gas during the current breaking operation; and a nozzle system arranged to blow the pressurized quenching gas onto the arc. The first main contact includes at least one pressure release opening to allow gas flow in a radial outward direction. A total area of the pressure release opening suppresses a reduction of gas flow out of the pressure release opening.

Gas-insulated load break switch and switchgear comprising a gas-insulated load break switch

A switching device for an encapsulated electric power distribution switchgear and an electric power distribution switchgear with at least one such switching device are disclosed. The switching device has a first electrically conducting housing which encloses an actuator mechanism for a first contact assembly and a second electrically conducting housing which encloses a second contact assembly. The first electrically conducting housing is arranged at a distance from the second electrically conducting housing. The switching device further has a third housing which is electrically insulating and arranged between the first electrically conducting housing and the second electrically conducting housing. The switching device is a puffer type switch.

A switching device including a breaker electrically connectable to an electrical conductor, and an at least partially electrically conductive housing to which the breaker is mounted, the housing having an outer surface. The breaker includes an electrically conductive first contact and an electrically conductive second contact, the second contact being movable and in relation to the first contact and in relation to the housing, and when the first and second contacts are in contact the breaker is in a closed position, and when the first and second contacts are separated the breaker is in an open position. The switching device is arranged to provide a current path between the breaker and the electrical conductor, and the housing houses a guiding member for operating the second contact, the guiding member being movable in relation to the housing, wherein the guiding member includes a biasing assembly.

A load disconnecting circuit is disclosed with a housing that has a first housing section, which houses the drive, and has a second housing section, which houses a fixed contact element and a longitudinally extended moving contact element. The second housing section has a longitudinal extension adapted to the moving contact element. Field-control rings are placed on the second housing section while encircling it, of which the first are arranged in the vicinity of the fixed contact element and the second are arranged in the vicinity of the switch-off position of the moving contact element. Via a respective connection conductor, the first field-control ring is connected to the potential of the fixed contact element, and the second field-control ring is connected to the potential of the moving contact element when in its switch-off position.
