An improved seal for use in a hydraulic system such as a piston rod in a housing, the seal having a stressing member and sealing member in which the latter is in point contact with, for example, a piston rod under low fluid pressure and has an additional contact area with the piston rod under high fluid pressure; a shallow concavity between the point contact and the contact area entraps lubricating fluid when the seal is subjected to high fluid pressure. In another modification the sealing member has an incline on the face in contact with the stressing member so that under high fluid pressure, the stressing member is forced up the incline and thus exerts increased pressure through the sealing member against the contact area and produces an effective high fluid pressure seal. In still another embodiment the sealing member has a concave surface to receive the stressing member such that it is centered, during low pressure operation, over a sealing contact area of the sealing member.

Hydraulic seal assembly

An identification device employing a myriad of modes of identifying indicia placement, wherein the device comprises a flexible band having opposed first and second ends wherein the bands may be in severable sheet form and wherein once severed the band is of sufficient length for encircling, captive relationship about an object or person to be identified. A multitude of varous means of securing the first and second ends together is available. Additionally, the availability of a choice of identification means, some of self-imprinting character, provides an identification device which is highly versatile having a plurality of end uses.

An identification device employing a myriad of modes of identifying indicia placement, wherein the device comprises a flexible band having opposed first and second ends wherein the bands may be in severable sheet form and wherein once severed the band is of sufficient length for encircling, captive relationship about an object or person to be identified. A multitude of various means of securing the first and second ends together is available. Additionally, the availability of a choice of identification means, some of self-imprinting character, provides an identification device which is highly versatile having a plurality of end uses.

A tamper-resistant, identification device employing a myriad of modes of identifying indicia placement, wherein the device comprises a flexible band having opposed first and second ends wherein one of the ends has at least two apertures and the other end has corresponding rows of apertures wherein by placing the device in encircling configuration, so as to obtain alignment and coincidence of selected apertures, the two ends may be securely fastened together by a variety of fastening means. Additionally, the availability of a choice of identification means and fastening means provides an identification device of high, tamper-resistant character especially useful in high security risk applications. Other selective combinations of identification means and fastening means also provides an identification device which is highly versatile having a plurality of applications of end uses.
