In some examples, a touch screen can include touch electrodes that can function as drive (Tx) electrodes and sense (Rx) electrodes during a touch sensing operation of the electronic device. The drive electrodes can include +Tx electrodes and −Tx electrodes that can receive drive signals that can have the same amplitude and frequency and opposite phases, for example. In some examples, the surface areas of the +Tx electrodes and the −Tx electrodes can be the same and the distances of the +Tx electrodes and −Tx electrodes from the Rx electrodes can be different. In some examples, the total charge coupled to a proximate or touching object can be zero, which can mitigate problems associated with ungrounded or poorly grounded objects in contact with the touch screen.

Balanced mutual capacitance systems and methods

An electronic display may include a pixel circuit. The pixel circuit may include memory storage to store data values representative of image data to be depicted via the pixel circuit. The memory storage may also include memory components for storing bits of the data value. The pixel circuit may also include a light-emitting device for emitting light based at least in part on the data value and a controller. The controller may receive the data value and store the bits based on a mapping between the bits and the memory components. The mapping may be determined based on routing one or more of the bits associated with one or more defective memory components of the memory components to one or more other memory components of the memory components. The controller may also drive the light-emitting device to emit light based on the bits stored in accordance with the mapping.

Correction for defective memory of a memory-in-pixel display

A voltage regulator circuit is disclosed. The voltage regulator includes a feedback circuit configured to generate a feedback signal based on a voltage level present on a regulated power supply node. A comparison circuit is arranged to generate an error signal based on the feedback signal and a reference voltage level. A compensation circuit is configured to modify the error signal, based on a routing impedance coupled between the regulated supply voltage node and a load circuit, to generate a control circuit. An output circuit of the voltage regulator is configured to source current to the regulated power supply node based on the control signal.

A bias current circuit is disclosed. The bias current circuit includes a number of current sources that can selectively be coupled to a bias current node or an auxiliary node. The bias current may be provided through the bias current node. During a trimming operation, a control circuit may selectively couple particular ones of the current sources to the bias current node, in accordance with a desired bias current. Other ones of the current sources may be coupled to the auxiliary node, through which an auxiliary current is provided. Upon completing the trimming operation, the control circuit may cause the auxiliary current to be reduced to zero.

Method and apparatus for bias current trimming

An electronic display may include a memory formed in an active area of the electronic display or formed in integrated circuitry of the electronic display that is outside of the active area. The memory may store a digital data signal indicative of a value within a data range. The electronic display may include a driver disposed in the active area, where the driver may generate one or more analog electrical signals in response to the digital data signal. The electronic display may also include a light-modulating device disposed on the active area, where the light-modulating device may emit light based at least in part on the one or more analog electrical signals.

Systems and methods for memory circuitry in an electronic display

A circuit includes a sensor and a half-bridge circuit. The sensor includes a first sensor capacitor and a second sensor capacitor, where capacitances of the first sensor capacitor and the second sensor capacitor change in opposing directions responsive to receiving a physical signal. The sensor generates a plurality of sensor signals according to the physical signal, the plurality of signals including a common mode injection and a plurality of differential signals. The half-bridge circuit includes a first half-bridge capacitor and a second half-bridge capacitor, where capacitances of the first half-bridge capacitor and the second half-bridge capacitor compensate for the common mode injection of the plurality of sensor signals. The sensor and the half-bridge circuit are coupled to a plurality of sense nodes configured to output the plurality of differential signals.

A system includes a sensor device, a circuit driving he sensor device at a drive frequency, a receiver, and a low pass filter. The sensor device is configured to change its electrical characteristics in response to external stimuli. The sensor device generates a modulated signal proportional to the external stimuli. The receiver is configured to receive the modulated signal and further configured to demodulate the modulated signal to generate a demodulated signal. The demodulation signal has a guard band. The receiver consumes power responsive to receiving the modulated signal. The low pass filter is configured to receive the demodulated signal and further configured to generate a sensor output.

Continuous-time sensing apparatus

A device includes a plurality of high voltage cells (HVC) coupled to a plurality of resistors, and a controller. The plurality of HVC generates an output voltage that is higher than an input voltage to the plurality of HVC. The controller receives a reference voltage and an output voltage from a resistor of the plurality of resistors. The controller generates a signal responsive to a difference between the reference voltage and the output voltage. The controller forms a closed feedback loop with the plurality of HVC and the plurality of resistors. The generated signal is input to the plurality of HVC. A substrate of a resistor of the plurality of resistors is biased to an output of at least one high voltage cell of the plurality of HVC. Output of the at least one high voltage cell is input to another high voltage cell.

High voltage circuitry with drift mitigation

A sensor headroom control circuit includes a front end analog circuit, a digital compensation circuit, and a headroom state selection circuit. The front end analog circuit has configurable headroom and is configured to receive a sensor input signal and output a sensor digital signal. The digital compensation circuit is configured to adjust the sensor digital signal to compensate for an active headroom state of the front end analog circuit and produce a compensated sensor signal. The headroom state selection circuit is configured to select the active headroom state of the front end analog circuit responsive to a detected level of the compensated sensor signal.

An embodiment of the invention includes an analog to digital converter including a sigma delta modulator that generates a feedback signal. The sigma delta modulator includes a quantizer responsive to an input signal and the feedback signal and generates a quantizer output. The sigma delta modulator further includes a chopper-stabilized amplifier that provides a reference signal to the sigma delta modulator, and the chopper-stabilized amplifier is stabilized according to a combination of a chopping signal and the quantizer output.
