One or more financial planning recommendations are associated with the financial planning goal, and data identifying the financial planning goal and the one or more financial planning recommendations is stored in a data store. The method also includes monitoring progress of the financial planning client with respect to the financial planning goal over at least a portion of a financial planning lifecycle.
