A method of fabricating a part by selectively melting powder is provided. The method includes: depositing a first layer of a first powder having a first element as its main element; depositing, on the first layer, a second layer of a second powder having a second element as its main element, which second element is different from the first element; and moving a first energy beam over the second layer, the energy delivered by the first beam serving to initiate an exothermic reaction between the first element and the second element, the energy given off by the exothermic reaction acting to locally melt together the first and second layers.

A method for forming a cathodic protection coating on a substrate forming a turbomachine part, includes deposition, on the substrate, of particles for cathodic protection of the substrate, this deposition being performed by electrophoresis from an organic electrolyte including the particles, and forming an inorganic matrix in pores of the deposit of particles produced in this way, including impregnating the deposit with an impregnation composition, drying heat treatment of the deposit impregnated by the impregnation composition, and densifying the deposit by mechanical compacting, after the drying heat treatment, in order to make the deposit electrically conductive.

Method for forming a cathodic protection coating on a turbomachine part

A composition for sintering to fabricate a part comprising an alloy based on titanium aluminide, the composition including a powder of an alloy based on titanium aluminide, and an addition powder including a mixture of a metallic aluminum powder and of a metallic titanium powder. Method for manufacturing a part coated with a protective coating

A method of fabricating a part coated with a protective coating, the method including using micro-arc oxidation treatment to form a protective coating on the outside surface of a part, the part including a niobium matrix having metallic silicide inclusions present therein, the current passing through the part being controlled during the micro-arc oxidation treatment in order to subject the part to a succession of current cycles, the ratio of (quantity of positive charge applied to the part)/(quantity of negative charge applied to the part) lying in the range 0.80 to 1.6 for each current cycle.

A method for manufacturing a part coated with a protective coating includes: forming a protective coating across all or part of the surface of a part, wherein the part includes a refractory alloy including a niobium matrix containing metal silicide inclusions, wherein the protective coating is formed by a pack carburization method from a cement including: i. a mixture A of (NbTi)MCrSiand MCrSi where M denotes Fe, Co or Ni and x is between 0 and 1, or ii. a mixture B of M'Si, NbSiand NbM&#x2032;Siwhere M&#x2032; denotes Fe, Co or Ni.
