A power converter includes a primary-side rectifying/filtering circuit, a DC converter, a DC/DC converter, a primary-side controller, a secondary-side rectifying controller, and a secondary-side feedback controller. The primary-side rectifying/filtering circuit receives an input voltage, and rectifies and filters the input voltage into an adjusted input voltage. The DC converter receives the adjusted input voltage. The primary-side controller provides a first control signal to control the DC converter to convert the adjusted input voltage into a DC input voltage, and provides a second control signal to control the DC-DC converter. The secondary-side rectifying controller provides a third control signal to control the DC-DC converter to convert the DC input voltage into a conversion voltage to supply power to a load according to a gain condition. The secondary-side feedback controller receives a power demand signal provided by the load to control the primary-side controller and the secondary-side rectifying controller.

Power converter

A power supply apparatus with step-up and step-down conversion includes a primary-side rectifying/filtering circuit, a step-up converter, a full-bridge LLC converter, a primary-side controller, a secondary-side rectifying/filtering circuit, a voltage regulator, and a secondary-side controller. The primary-side rectifying/filtering circuit rectifies and filters an AC input voltage into a DC input voltage. The primary-side controller controls the step-up converter to step up the DC input voltage to a step-up voltage, and controls the full-bridge LLC converter to convert the step-up voltage to a conversion voltage. The secondary-side rectifying/filtering circuit rectifies and filters the conversion voltage into a DC output voltage. The secondary-side controller controls the primary-side controller to provide the step-up control signal and the conversion control signal and provides a voltage regulation signal to control the voltage regulator so as to regulate the DC output voltage to an output voltage for supplying power to the load.

Power supply apparatus with step-up and step-down conversion

A voltage converter includes a feedback controller, a primary-side controller, a secondary-side controller, a primary-side rectification-filtration circuit, a boost converter, and a voltage conversion circuit. The feedback controller receives a voltage demand signal from an output end to output a first feedback signal and a second feedback signal. The primary-side controller generates a boost control signal and a first switching control signal according to the first feedback signal. The secondary-side controller generates a second switching control signal according to the second feedback signal. The boost converter is configured to boost a DC voltage outputted by the primary-side rectification-filtration circuit into a first voltage according to the boost control signal. The operation mode of the voltage conversion circuit is switched between a half-bridge rectification mode and a full-bridge rectification mode according to the first and second switching control signals. A method for voltage conversion is also provided.

Voltage converter and control method for voltage conversion

A flyback power-converting device includes a transformer circuit, a clamp damping circuit, a first switch, a voltage-reducing circuit and a second switch. The clamp damping circuit and the first switch are coupled to the transformer circuit. The voltage-reducing circuit and the second switch are coupled in series between the clamp damping circuit and the transformer circuit. Through switching of the first switch, the transformer circuit converts an input power to generate a first converted voltage and to enable the clamp damping circuit to store an inductive energy. In addition, when the second switch is turned on, the clamp damping circuit releases the inductive energy to the transformer circuit via the voltage-reducing circuit, so that the transformer circuit generates a second converted voltage according to the inductive energy.

Flyback power-converting device with zero-voltage switching and method for flyback converting power with zero-voltage switching

A power converter with over temperature protection compensation includes a main conversion unit, a primary-side control unit, a primary detection circuit, and an over temperature adjustment circuit. The primary-side control unit obtains a primary voltage change value through the primary detection circuit, and the primary-side control unit correspondingly provides a current change value to the over temperature adjustment circuit according to the primary voltage change value. The over temperature adjustment circuit provides a temperature control voltage according to the current change value so that the primary-side control unit determines whether an over temperature protection is activated according to the temperature control voltage.

Power converter with over temperature protection compensation

A power converter with over temperature protection compensation includes a main conversion unit, a primary-side control unit, a secondary-side control unit, a secondary detection circuit, and an over temperature adjustment circuit. The secondary-side control unit obtains a secondary voltage change value through the secondary detection circuit, and the secondary-side control unit correspondingly provides a current change value to the over temperature adjustment circuit according to the secondary voltage change value. The over temperature adjustment circuit provides a temperature control voltage according to the current change value so that the secondary-side control unit determines whether an over temperature protection is activated according to the temperature control voltage.

A method of resistance compensation for measuring output current includes the following steps: (a) providing a secondary side loop of a conversion unit, and the secondary side loop includes a sense resistor and the first line. (b) providing a control unit for controlling the conversion unit, and the control unit is coupled to the first line and the sense resistor. (c) utilizing a first current to flow through the secondary side loop to obtain a first equivalent line resistance of the first line. (d) providing a second current by the control unit flowing through a loop of the sense resistor, the first line and the control unit to obtain a second equivalent line resistance of the second line. (e) compensating the sense resistor by the control unit according to the first equivalent line resistance and the second equivalent line resistance.

Method of measuring output current through resistance compensation and conversion circuit thereof

A synchronous rectification device is adapted to control a conversion circuit, where he conversion circuit includes: a primary side coil, configured to receive input power; and a secondary side coil, configured to generate inductive power in response to the input power. The synchronous rectification device includes: a first control circuit, configured to provide a first control signal to control the primary side coil; a secondary side switch, configured to generate an ON signal and an OFF signal according to the inductive power; an isolation coupling element; and a second control circuit. The isolation coupling element includes: a receiving side, configured to receive the first control signal; and a reaction side, configured to generate a coupling signal in response to the first control signal. The second control circuit outputs a second control signal according to the coupling signal, the ON signal, and the OFF signal to adjust the inductive power.

Synchronous rectification device and method thereof

A power conversion device includes a primary side rectifier, a main converter, a secondary side rectifier, a secondary side feedback controller, a PWM controller, and a driving compensator. The primary side rectifier is configured to generate a first voltage. The main converter includes a power transistor and is configured to adjust the first voltage to generate a second voltage according to a control signal. The secondary side rectifier is configured to generate an output voltage according to the second voltage. The secondary side feedback controller is configured to generate a feedback signal according to the output voltage. The PWM controller is configured to generate a PWM signal according to the feedback signal. The driving compensator includes a driving resistor circuit. The PWM signal outputs the control signal through the driving resistor circuit, and the driving compensator adjusts a resistance value of the driving resistor circuit according to the first voltage.

Power conversion device and control method thereof

A load detection circuit is applied to a power converter, and the power converter provides a switch switching frequency to control a switch output voltage. The load detection circuit includes a voltage adjustment unit, an integration unit, and a power switch. The voltage adjustment unit receives the switch output voltage provided from the power converter and adjusts the switch output voltage into an adjustment voltage. The integration unit is coupled to the voltage adjustment unit to receive the adjustment voltage and integrate the adjustment voltage to provide a control voltage. The power switch is coupled to the integration unit to receive the control voltage. When the switch switching frequency is increased to make the control voltage large enough to turn on the power switch, the load detection circuit detects that the power converter is changed from a no-loading condition to a loading condition.

Load detection circuit and dual-output power supply having the same

A power supply apparatus includes a main converter, an auxiliary winding switching circuit and a pulse width modulation controller. The main converter includes a transformer. The transformer includes a primary side winding, a secondary side winding and an auxiliary winding. The auxiliary winding includes a first winding and a second winding. According to a secondary side voltage, the first winding induces to generate a first voltage, and the second winding induces to generate a second voltage. The first voltage is greater than the second voltage. The auxiliary winding switching circuit sends the first voltage to the pulse width modulation controller when the first voltage is not greater than a predetermined voltage. The auxiliary winding switching circuit sends the second voltage to the pulse width modulation controller when the first voltage is greater than the predetermined voltage.

A power supply apparatus includes a main converter, a voltage superposition circuit, a voltage detection circuit and a pulse width modulation controller. The voltage superposition circuit is electrically connected to the main converter. The voltage detection circuit is electrically connected to the main converter and the voltage superposition circuit. The pulse width modulation controller is electrically connected to the main converter and the voltage detection circuit. The main converter includes a sensing resistor. The voltage detection circuit detects a sensing voltage of the sensing resistor. The voltage superposition circuit supplies a superposition voltage to the voltage detection circuit when an output voltage of the power supply apparatus is less than a predetermined output voltage, and then the voltage detection circuit sends the sensing voltage and the superposition voltage to the pulse width modulation controller.
