A device includes circuitry configured to determine characteristics of jammer signals associated with a first wireless protocol of another device. An amount of interference between the jammer signals and a first received signal at the device associated with a second wireless protocol is determined, and the jammer signals are filtered from the second received signal when the amount of interference between the jammer signals and the first received signal is greater than a first predetermined threshold.

Inter-radio communications for scheduling or allocating time-varying frequency resources

A communication device, such as a smart phone, includes transmit/receive logic to cancel an interfering signal component. The interfering signal component may originate from a communication interface on the device itself. For example, transmissions from the communication interface may interfere with received signals at other communication interfaces on the device. Transmit/receive logic on others of the communication interfaces may use known characteristics of the interfering signal component to cancel the interfering signal component.

Self-interference cancellation

A receiver determines phase and frequency information from data signals that carry information from a transmitter to a receiver, instead of or in addition to, information from control signals. In a specific embodiment, the information is obtained from data signals modulated as a binary phase-shift keying ('BPSK') waveform by demodulation. Other phase-shift keyings might be used instead. Encoded information might be recovered in received OFDM packets by receiving OFDM subcarriers modulated with the two low data rates supported by IEEE 802.11 standard(s) wherein the subcarriers encoding the packet are modulated using binary phase shift keying and the encoding information is at a zero phase or a &#x3c0; (pi) phase offset on each of the subcarriers. Determining the carrier frequency might be done by calculating the square of each of subcarrier signal and/or determining the phase offset of the subcarriers even with information modulated onto the subcarriers.
