A cellular network element of a cellular network may receive a request to revoke authorization of a wireless device that is an element in an unmanned aerial system. The cellular network element may provide an indication to the wireless device to disconnect from any other elements of the unmanned aerial system based at least in part on the request to revoke authorization.

Devices and associated methods for operating a dual-subscriber identity module (SIM) dual-standby (DSDS) user equipment device (UE) configured with a first SIM and a second SIM. The UE performs communications with a first cellular network using the first SIM and a first radio resource control (RRC) connection, and receives a request to perform a higher priority communication using the second SIM. In response to the request to perform the higher priority communication, the UE transmits a request to the first network to suspend the first RRC connection. To accommodate a mix of high frequency carriers and lower frequency carriers, a protocol stack may include a radio link control (RLC) entity that allows configuration of status reporting control parameters on per carrier, or per subcarrier spacing. Alternatively, a protocol stack may include two RLC entities, one for handling high frequency carriers, and another for handling lower frequency carriers. (High frequency carriers and lower frequency carriers may be distinguished based on a frequency threshold.) Furthermore, a user equipment may transmit (to the network) an indication of its L2 buffer size. The network may configure the UE and/or control scheduling, to ensure the UE's L2 buffer does not overrun. Alternatively, the UE may indicate that it can support a percentage of a maximum buffer size. The network may configure the UE and/or control scheduling so that the UE's buffer occupancy does not exceed the percentage.

Techniques discussed herein can facilitate inactive state transmissions for a Base Station (BS) via a 4-step or 2-step inactive state RACH process. One example aspect is a BS including communication circuitry and one or more processors communicatively coupled to the communication circuitry and configured to cause the BS to transmit a radio link quality threshold and an uplink data size for a Radio Resource Control (RRC) inactive data transmission. Receive a Random Access Channel (RACH) preamble in response to the radio link quality threshold and the uplink data size being satisfied. The UE sends, by the first SIM, a first registration request to the network, wherein the first registration request comprises an identification indicating the multi-SIM device is a type of multi-SIM device, receives, by the first SIM, a first registration accept message indicating the first registration request has been accepted, wherein the first registration accept message comprises a first temporary identification for the first SIM and sends, by the second SIM, an access network message comprising one of the first temporary identification or a further temporary identification based on, at least, the first temporary identification.

The one or more conditions to use the pre-CG resource include one or more of an access type, a transmission priority, a mapped Logical Channel (LCH)/Dedicated Radio Bearer (DRB)/Quality of Service (QoS) flow, and a valid timing advance (TA).

A base station may operate in a context where the propagation delay between the base station and user equipment (UE) devices is large. The base station configures UE devices with a common delay. The base station receives a random access preamble from a UE device. The base station determines a time slot in which the random access preamble was transmitted, based on a configured correspondence between allowable time slots and subsets of an available set of preambles. The base station computes a Random Access Radio Network Temporary Identifier (RA-RNTI) based on parameter values including an index, of the determined time slot. The base station employs the computed RA-RNTI to address a random access response for the UE device.
