A latch mechanism for a vehicle seat includes a latch, a plate and a second cam. The latch is movable between a first position in which the latch is engaged with a striker and a second position in which the latch is disengaged from the striker. The plate defines an arcuate slot. The second cam is coupled to the plate and includes a body and a protrusion extending outwardly from the body. The protrusion is received in the arcuate slot and is configured to traverse the arcuate slot when the latch is in the first position.

Latch mechanism for seat assembly

A latch mechanism that selectively receives a striker is provided. The latch mechanism includes a housing having a channel and a locking mechanism having a claw rotatably supported by the housing and movable between a first locked state and a second locked state. The claw locks the striker at a first location along a length of the channel in the first locked state and locks the striker at a second location along a length of the channel different than the first location in the second locked state.

A memory mechanism for an adjustment mechanism includes a housing, a release lever supported by the housing that positions the adjustment mechanism in a latched position and an unlatched position, and a disk supported by the housing and movable relative to the housing. A slide lever is supported by the housing between an extended position and a retracted position and extends from the disk in the extended position to define a position of the disk relative to the housing.

A seat adjustment mechanism for a vehicle seat including a seat bottom supported by the vehicle and a seatback coupled to the seat bottom is provided. The seat adjustment mechanism includes a first kneel mechanism connected to the vehicle seat and a powered motor operably connected to the first kneel mechanism. The powered motor drives the first kneel mechanism to translate the seatback and seat bottom relative the vehicle to manipulate the seat assembly into a desired configuration.

A seat recliner and latch includes a housing, an upper quadrant rotationally supported by the housing, a recliner mechanism supported by the housing and operably engaging the upper quadrant, a latch mechanism pivotally supported by the housing and operable to selectively engage a floor striker. An actuation mechanism is in operable communication with the recliner and latch mechanisms, and is operable in a first position, whereby the recliner mechanism enables rotational adjustment of the upper quadrant, and in a second position whereby the latch mechanism disengages the striker. The latch mechanism is pivotally supported about a pivot axis, wherein the latch mechanism rotates thereabout as the seat folds about a remote axis. An interlock is engaged with latch mechanism and is in selective engagement with the quadrant. The interlock limits a range of rotation of the quadrant when the latch mechanism disengages the striker.

Seat assembly with integrated recliner and floor-latch mechanism

A seat hinge assembly is provided and includes a support rotatably supporting an arm and further supporting a locking arrangement for locking the arm in either an upright or forward fold position. The locking arrangement includes a lock-pin slidably supported by the support and a cam for selectively interfacing the lock-pin. The locking arrangement further includes a pair of lock plates rotatably supported by the support and in selective engagement with the lock-pin. The lock plates slidably support a stop pin that is concurrently slidable within the support. The lock-pin is engageable with the arm for locking the arm in an upright position and the stop pin is engageable with the arm for locking the arm in a fold position.

A constant engagement linear recliner assembly is provided for implementation with a seat assembly. The constant engagement linear recliner assembly includes a recliner rod in constant mesh engagement with a gear system. As the gear system is caused to rotate, the recliner rod moves linearly with respect to the linear recliner assembly. The linear motion of the recliner rod translates into pivotable motion of a seat back relative to a seat.

A seat assembly having a linear recliner assembly is disclosed that is operable for permitting selective reclining movement of a seatback relative to a seat bottom from an upright position through a range of reclined positions to a preselected use position. The linear recliner assembly is further operable to permit the seatback to be pivoted from any preselected use position to a forward dumped position. Upon return of the seatback from the forward dumped position, the linear recliner assembly is adapted to re-latch the seatback in its previous use position.

A linear recliner assembly is disclosed that is operable for permitting selective reclining movement of a seatback relative to a seat bottom between an upright position and a fully-reclined position. The linear recliner assembly is further operable to permit the seatback to be pivoted from any reclined position to a forward dumped position. Upon return of the seatback from its forward dumped position, the linear recliner assembly is adapted to relatch the seatback in its previous reclined position.
