In an example embodiment, a refrigerator a cabinet having slotted rail. The cabinet defines a food storage chamber. Also, a door is coupled to the cabinet and is configured to open and close the food storage chamber. Additionally, a shelf is mounted inside the food storage chamber, and a rack is positioned central in the food storage chamber proximate the shelf. The rack includes a back support, a slider coupled to the back support, and a knob coupling the rack to the slider.

Storage systems for use in consumer appliances are provided. Storage system can be a storage assembly defining a vertical direction, a lateral direction, and a transverse direction, the vertical, lateral, and transverse directions being mutually perpendicular. The storage assembly includes a mounting bracket, a first mounting tab and a second mounting tab extending in the transverse direction from a first end of the mounting bracket. The first mounting tab and the second mounting tab are configured to be inserted into a mounting track disposed within the consumer appliance. The dispensing assembly further includes a vibration generator coupled to the flexible hose and in operative communication with the actuating mechanism such that the vibration generator is activated when the actuating mechanism is activated. The vibration generator moves the flexible hose relative to the dispenser recess when the vibration generator is activated, thereby providing a wave pattern flow of water from the flexible hose.

An herb storage assembly for storing herbs within a refrigerator appliance is provided. The refrigerator appliance includes a chilled chamber and a dispensing assembly including a water supply port for selectively discharging a flow of water. The herb storage assembly includes a lower housing defining a water reservoir and a docking port mounted to the lower housing, the docking port being configured for engaging the water supply port to receive the flow of water into the water reservoir. An herb container is seated at least partially within the water reservoir and defines a storage volume for receiving and storing herbs.

A system and method are directed toward the synthesis of polymeric capsules using a phase inversion process by extrusion of polymeric droplets through a syringe-needle assembly or an iris-shutter mechanism. The polymeric solution may be prepared by dissolving PAN (polyacrylonitrile) polymer in DMF (Dimethyl Formamide) solvent at high temperature through continuous stirring. Following preparation of the capsules, further treatment was initiated using triethylamine in gelation bath to make the final product an efficient removal agent of water hardness.

A refrigerator appliance and extraction is provided herein. The extraction fluid assembly may include a fluid tank, an open container, a filter assembly, a dispenser housing, and a precision doser. The fluid tank may define an extraction chamber to receive a liquid solvent. The open container may be selectively disposed on the fluid tank to hold an additive within the extraction chamber. The filter assembly may be positioned beneath the fluid tank along a vertical direction in fluid communication with the extraction chamber. The dispenser housing may support the filter assembly. The dispenser housing may also define a dispensing chamber positioned beneath the filter assembly in fluid communication therewith. The precision doser may be in fluid communication with the dispensing chamber to direct an extraction fluid therefrom.
