A method and computer readable medium for providing Enterprise conferencing is provided. In an exemplary embodiment of the invention, a first SIP INVITE message is exchanged between a Media Gateway of the Enterprise and a first Media Server of a Conferencing Service Provider. Then, an Application Server of the Conferencing Service Provider establishes conference call resources at the Conferencing Service Provider. A first RTP session is established between the Media Gateway and the first Media Server, and then a PROMPT AND COLLECT message is sent from the Application Server to the first Media Server to gather data from the caller for establishing the Enterprise conferencing. After receipt of the data by the Application Server, an SIP INFO message is sent from the Application Server to a second Media Server of the Conferencing Service Provider, selecting the second Media Server to host the call.

Enterprise conferencing with dual mixing

To enable internet softphone users to join to calls hosted at an audio conferencing bridge, a SIP Invite may be received at a bridge interface layer of an audio conferencing system. Parameters of the SIP Invite may be extracted, e.g. from one or more X-header fields and processed to enable the internet softphone to be joined to an audio conferencing bridge. The bridge interface layer may receive a SIP Refer message from the audio conferencing bridge that indicates a second audio conferencing bridge external to the system. The bridge interface layer may forward the SIP Invite to the second audio conferencing bridge and the RTP media may be established through the session border controller (SBC) of the audio conferencing system.

The illustrative embodiments described herein provide improved systems and methods for conferencing enterprise and non-enterprise callers. In one embodiment, a method includes receiving a first call initiated by an enterprise caller at an enterprise, communicating with an enterprise media server to initiate a tributary conference on the enterprise media server, joining the enterprise caller to the tributary conference such that the enterprise caller is in data communication with the tributary conference, receiving a second call initiated by a non-enterprise caller via a public switched telephone network, interfacing the non-enterprise caller with a data center media server, creating a home conference on the data center media center, joining the second call to the home conference, and interfacing the home conference on the data center media server to the tributary conference on the enterprise media server to form a linked conference between the enterprise caller and the non-enterprise caller.

To enable load balancing and the like for audio conferencing systems of an audio conferencing network, a DNS server may receive a DNS lookup from an internet softphone and return a prioritized list of audio conferencing system identities. The internet softphone may select an audio conferencing system and forward a SIP Invite to a Bridge interface layer of the respective audio conferencing system. If the SIP Invite does not generate a successful connection or generates a timeout, the internet softphone forwards the SIP Invite to the next prioritized Bridge interface layer in the list.

A method and system and computer readable medium for a voice quality measuring device that provides real-time, near real-time or contemporaneous voice quality statistics about impairments external to the voice quality conference bridge system, i.e. from participant's calls coming from a communication network into a voice quality conference bridge system is disclosed. The reports generated by the voice quality statistics provided by the voice quality measuring device will enable carriers to identify voice quality impairments. Moreover, the reports will also enable the customers to see, by means of the voice quality statistics, on a call-by-call basis, whether any voice quality impairments are external to the conferencing bridge system.
