A coated glazing includes a transparent glass substrate, and a coating located on the glass substrate. The coating is provided with at least the following layers in sequence starting from the glass substrate: a first layer having a refractive index of more than 1.6, an optional second layer having a refractive index that is less than the refractive index of the first layer, a third layer based on tin dioxide doped with antimony, niobium and/or neodymium, and a fourth layer based on titanium dioxide, wherein the fourth layer is photocatalytic.

Coated glazing

A coated glass article provides a visible light reflecting, solar control glazing with a low emittance, a low solar heat gain coefficient, and a low shading coefficient that can significantly improve energy costs in buildings and homes while providing a desirable neutral color for, at least, film side reflection. The low emittance characteristic of the 5 glazing would minimize any indirect heat gain from absorption.

Coated glass articles

A window assembly includes a first pane of glass. The first pane of glass is chemically strengthened and exhibits a surface compressive stress of 400 MPa or more. A second pane of glass has a first major surface and a second major surface. The second major surface of the second pane of glass and a first major surface of the first pane of glass face each other. The second pane of glass includes 68-74 weight % SiO, 2-6 weight % MgO, 1-10 weight % CaO, 12-16 weight % NaO, 0-1 weight % KO, 0.8-2.0 weight % FeO(total iron), 0-1.25 weight % TiO, and 0-1.25 weight % CeO. A polymeric interlayer is provided between the first pane of glass and the second pane of glass. The window assembly exhibits a direct solar transmittance of 55% or less and a total solar transmittance of 65% or less.

Window assembly

A laminated window assembly has a first glass pane with a coating formed thereon, a second glass pane, and a polymeric interlayer provided between the first glass pane and the second glass pane. The coating includes a first layer deposited over a major surface of the glass pane, wherein the first layer has a refractive index of 1.6 or more and a thickness of 50 nm or less, a second layer deposited over the first layer, wherein the second layer has a refractive index that is less than the refractive index of the first layer and a thickness of 50 nm or less, a third layer deposited over the second layer, wherein the third layer has a refractive index that is greater than the refractive index of the second layer and a thickness of less than 500 nm, and a fourth layer deposited over the third layer, wherein the fourth layer has a refractive index that is less than the refractive index of the third layer and a thickness of 100 nm or less.

Laminated window assembly

A coated glass article includes a glass substrate. A coating is formed on the glass substrate. The coating includes a first coating layer. The first coating layer includes fluorine doped tin oxide. A second coating layer is provided between the glass substrate and the first coating layer. The second coating layer includes silicon dioxide and at least one of phosphorus and boron. The coated glass article exhibits a haze of 2.0% or less.

Coated glass article, method of making the same, and photovoltaic cell made therewith

A chemical vapor deposition process for forming a silicon oxide coating includes providing a moving glass substrate. A gaseous mixture is formed and includes a silane compound, a first oxygen-containing molecule, a radical scavenger, and at least one of a phosphorus-containing compound and a boron-containing compound. The gaseous mixture is directed toward and along the glass substrate. The gaseous mixture is reacted over the glass substrate to form a silicon oxide coating on the glass substrate at a deposition rate of 150 nm*m/min or more.

Chemical vapor deposition process for forming a silicon oxide coating

A coated glass article includes a glass substrate and an anti-reflective coating formed over a first major surface of the glass substrate. The anti-reflective coating includes a color suppression interlayer and a first coating layer deposited over the color suppression interlayer. The first coating layer includes tin oxide and a dopant. The dopant includes antimony, molybdenum, or iron. A second coating layer is deposited over the first coating layer. The second coating layer includes an oxide of silicon. The coated glass article exhibits a total visible light transmittance of 70% or more and a film side visible light reflectance of less than 6.0%.

A coated glass article includes a glass substrate. A coating is formed over the glass substrate. The coating includes a first inorganic metal oxide layer deposited over a major surface of the glass substrate. The first inorganic metal oxide layer has a refractive index of 1.6 or more. A second inorganic metal oxide layer is deposited over the first inorganic metal oxide layer. The second inorganic metal oxide layer has a refractive index which is less than the refractive index of the first inorganic metal oxide layer. A third inorganic metal oxide layer is deposited over the second inorganic metal oxide layer. The third inorganic metal oxide layer has a refractive index of 2.2 or more and the refractive index of the third inorganic metal oxide layer is greater than the refractive index of the second inorganic metal oxide layer. A fourth inorganic metal oxide layer is deposited over the third inorganic metal oxide layer. The fourth inorganic metal oxide layer has a refractive index which is less than the refractive index of the third inorganic metal oxide layer. The coated glass article exhibits a total visible light reflectance of less than 6.5%.

Coated glass article having an anti-reflective coating and laminated glass thereof

A light emitting diode display is described including inner and outer panes of glass. The inner pane of glass has first and second major surfaces wherein a visible light reflection from the second major surface is 7.6% or less. The outer pane of glass is in a parallel relationship with the inner pane of glass. One or more light emitting diodes (LEDs) and at least one (a first) interlayer is provided between the inner and outer panes of glass. The first interlayer encapsulates the one or more LEDs. A conductive coating may be formed over the first major surface of the inner pane of glass and at least one (a first) of the one or more LEDs may be provided on the conductive coating, the first light emitting diode being in electrical communication with the conductive coating. The conductive coating may be transparent to visible light.

Light emitting diode display and insulated glass unit including the same

A coated glass article including a glass substrate and a coating deposited over the glass substrate. The coating includes a first inorganic metal oxide layer deposited over a major surface of the glass substrate. A second inorganic metal oxide layer is deposited over the first inorganic metal oxide layer. A third inorganic metal oxide layer is deposited over the second inorganic metal oxide layer. A fourth inorganic metal oxide layer is deposited over the third inorganic metal oxide layer. The coated glass article exhibits a total visible light transmittance (Illuminant C) of 40% or more and a visible light reflectance (Illuminant C) of 30% or more.

Coated glass article, display assembly made therewith and method of making a display assembly

A coated glass article includes a coating formed over a glass substrate. The coating comprises an optional base layer of an oxide of silicon, a first coating layer of an oxide of titanium, niobium or chromium, a second coating layer of an oxide of silicon, and a third coating layer of an oxide of tin. The coated glass article exhibits a Tvis of 40%-55% and an Rf of 40%-60%. A video display can be mounted behind the coated glass article, such that when the video display is in operation it is visible through the coated glass article and when the video display is not in operation is it concealed by the coated glass article.

Coated glass article and display assembly made therewith

A coated glass article includes a glass substrate and a coating formed over the glass substrate. The coating includes a first inorganic metal oxide layer deposited over a major surface of the glass substrate. The first inorganic metal oxide layer has a refractive index of 1.8 or more. The coating also includes a second inorganic metal oxide layer deposited over the first inorganic metal oxide layer. The second inorganic metal oxide layer has a refractive index of 1.6 or less. The coated glass article exhibits a total visible light reflectance of 6.5% or less.

Anti-reflective coated glass article

A coated glass article includes a glass substrate and a pyrolytic coating deposited over the glass substrate. The coating includes a first inorganic metal oxide layer deposited over a major surface of the glass substrate. The first inorganic metal oxide layer includes titanium dioxide or tin oxide, has a refractive index of 1.8 or more, and is deposited at a thickness of 40 nm or less. A second inorganic metal oxide layer is deposited directly on the first inorganic metal oxide layer. The second inorganic metal oxide layer includes silicon dioxide and has a refractive index of 1.6 or less. A third inorganic metal oxide layer is deposited directly on the major surface of the glass substrate. The third inorganic metal oxide layer comprises silicon dioxide. The first inorganic metal oxide layer is deposited directly on the third inorganic metal oxide layer. The coated glass article exhibits a total visible light reflectance of 6.5% or less.

The invention relates to a multi-layer pyrolytic coating stack deposited on a tinted glass substrate to form a coated glass article exhibiting a desired combination of emissivity, visible light transmittance and solar heat gain coefficient. A method for depositing the multi-layer coating stack on the tinted glass substrate is also part of the invention.
