A light fixture disposed in an ambient environment. The light fixture can include at least one light source, and a sensor module that measures a parameter, where the parameter is used to operate the at least one light source. The light fixture can also include an antenna assembly coupled to the sensor module, where at least a portion of the antenna assembly is disposed on an exposed component, where the exposed component has a substantially unobstructed line of sight with the ambient environment, where the antenna assembly is used to measure the parameter in the ambient environment.

Integrated antenna assemblies for light fixtures

A light fixture integrated disposed in an ambient environment can include at least one light source. The light fixture can also include a sensor module that measures a parameter, where the parameter is used to operate the at least one light source, where the sensor module is disposed on an exposed component, where the exposed component has a substantially unobstructed line of sight with the ambient environment, where the sensor module is used to measure the parameter in the ambient environment.

Integrated sensor modules for light fixtures

A lighting fixture can comprise a substantially flat sheet of metal supporting a circuit that comprises one or more light emitting diodes with one or more associated optics for manipulating emitted light. The circuit can be attached to, mounted next to, or integrated with the sheet of metal. In some examples, a layer of dielectric material adheres to the sheet of metal, and circuit elements adhere to the layer of dielectric material. Such circuit elements may comprise electrical traces, light emitting diodes, and/or a light emitting diode driver. The sheet of metal can provide a substrate for the circuit or a support for a freestanding circuit board that may be rigid or flexible.

Lighting fixture

A luminaire can comprise a lightguide, a substrate to which an array of light emitting diodes is mounted, and a cover that extends over the substrate. A light-receiving edge of the lightguide can be positioned adjacent the array of light emitting diodes so that emitted light couples into the lightguide via that edge. The lightguide can guide the coupled light from the light-receiving edge to an opposing, light-emitting edge that emits the coupled light to provide illumination. The cover can comprise an aperture through which the lightguide extends, so that the cover may enclose the light-receiving edge while the light emitting edge may protrude through the aperture.

Luminaire with integrated lightguide

A outdoor lighting fixture includes an enclosure, a heatsink, and an end-cap. The enclosure includes a cabinet and a cover that enclose control and power circuitry to provide power to illuminate a light source. The cabinet further includes an attachment face, and the extruded heatsink can be coupled to the attachment face. The extruded heatsink includes sides, a discontinuous plane of material formed with sides of the heatsink to provide a recessed mounting tray, and heat-conducting fins extending from the plane of material. The light source, which can include an LED light source, is coupled to the heatsink. The extruded heatsink can be coupled at one end to the attachment face of the cabinet at a position such that a space remains between the plane of material and a bottom edge of the attachment face, to permit water to drain from between the heat-conducting fins of the extruded heatsink.

Outdoor lighting fixture

A light module includes a cover, a circuit board, a gasket, a bottom covering, and an optional optic assembly. The cover includes an inner and an outer wall extending outwardly from the cover, where the outer wall surrounds the inner wall and forms a groove therebetween. The circuit board is positioned within the inner wall's profile and includes a plurality of LEDs. The gasket is disposed within the groove. The bottom covering is positioned adjacent to the circuit board and is coupled to the cover. The gasket provides a seal between the cover and the bottom covering. The optic assembly is disposed within the inner wall's profile and between the cover and the circuit board. The optic assembly includes one or more apertures and one or more optics disposed around at least some of the apertures. Each optic is aligned with one or more LEDs.

Method and apparatus for light square assembly

A door for an outdoor lighting fixture can include a base portion and a cantilever portion. The base portion can include a first light source receiving area and at least one attachment recess, where the first light source receiving area is disposed on a bottom of the base portion. The cantilever portion can be disposed at a distal end of the base portion and can include a second light source receiving area disposed on a bottom side of the cantilever portion. The at least one attachment recess can be configured to receive a securing clip of a cabinet of the outdoor lighting fixture. The first light source receiving area can be configured to receive a first light source, and the second light source receiving area can be configured to receive a second light source.
