An apparatus for detecting fraudulent activity includes a device property data processing circuit, a security analysis circuit, an alert circuit, and an alert provisioning circuit. The device property data processing circuit is structured to interpret device property data corresponding to a device registered with an Internet of Things (IoT) device registry. The security analysis circuit is structured to determine, based at least in part on the device property data, that the device is subject to a fraud event. The alert circuit is structured to generate, responsive to the determined fraud event, a message that identifies the device. The alert provisioning circuit is structured to transmit the message.

Systems and methods for fraudulent activity detection

A method for registering one or more Greenfield devices via a virtual Internet of Things Universal Identifier (IoT UID) is provided. The method includes identifying one or more Brownfield devices, generating device property data based at least in part on the one or more Brownfield devices, and transmitting, to an IoT device registrar server, a registration request that includes the device property data. The method may further include determining, via a trust analysis circuit and based at least in part on the record, a risk indicator of the device and transmitting, via an indicator provisioning circuit, the risk indicator.

The display circuit generates a graphical user interface (GUI) configured to receive one or more user input command values corresponding to device property data for one or more Brownfield devices. The requestor circuit generates a registration request that includes the device property data. The request provisioning circuit transmits the registration request to an IoT device registrar server. The IoT UID processing circuit interprets one or more IoT UIDs generated by the IoT device registrar server in response to the registration request. The IoT UID provisioning circuit at least one of: transmits the one or more IoT UIDs, or displays the one or more IoT UIDs on an electronic display.

A method for routing media calls over a real time packet switch connection includes providing a session controller for connecting to a network. The method further includes providing a signaling switch for connecting to the session controller. The method further includes controlling call routing in the network with the session controller where the call routing control includes identifiers for elements in at least two layers of a seven layer model. The call routing control includes a preference for a codec for the call. The call routing is carried out taking into consideration a mean opinion score qualifier from previous calls having a same source and destination.

A voice over Internet protocol communication system and method provides infrastructure components as intermediaries between networks, the components include multi-protocol session controllers and a multi-protocol signaling switch as well as a management system. The session controllers process calls and participate in the calls that flow through it. The session controllers process calls that are either at the edge of the network or at the core of the voice over Internet protocol network. A filtered ingress-call parameter value and at least one filtered ingress-call-peer parameter value from a plurality of ingress-call-peer parameter values are converted to an egress-call parameter value and an egress-call-peer parameter value, respectively. An egress call is filtered based on a plurality of egress-call parameter values. A parameter value for the egress call is modified based on a plurality of egress-call-peer parameter values.

Methods and apparatus for multistage routing of packets using call templates

A session controller configured to be coupled to a communications network is disclosed. The session controller is configured to receive an indication of a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) registration request at a first time from an endpoint having a third-party registration, and to receive a signaling message from the endpoint at a second time later than the first time. The session controller is further configured to forward an indication of the VoIP registration request and a signaling message to an application server, such that at least a portion of the topology of the communications network beyond the session controller is hidden to the endpoint.

The instruction is configured to trigger the second endpoint to modify a priority indicator associated with at least one of the first IP packet or a second IP packet associated with the call.

Multistage prioritization of packets within a session over internet protocol (SOIP) network

A session controller configured to receive a data packet from a packet-switched network having multiple communication links is disclosed. The disclosed session controller is further configured to define a call-routing policy based on layer-five information, layer-two information, layer-three information and layer-seven information from the data packet. The call-routing policy is configured to define a least-cost routing (LCR) call route for an ingress call over at least one of the plurality of communication links. The LCR call route is associated with an operational cost that is lower than an operational cost associated with at least one other call route over at least one communication link from the plurality of communication links. The session controller is also configured to associate the ingress call to an egress-call peer based on the call routing policy.
