A device comprises processing circuitry configured to configure an edge device to collect telemetry flow data output by a plurality of network devices and to generate processed telemetry flow data based on the collected telemetry flow data. The processing circuitry is further configured to receive the processed telemetry flow data from the edge device and store an indication of the processed telemetry flow data.

A device may calculate, based on network data associated with a network, key performance indicators (KPIs) for the network. The device may aggregate a first set of KPIs to generate a first aggregated KPI associated with a first functionality of the device and a second set of KPIs to generate a second aggregated KPI associated with a second functionality of the device. The device may receive a selection of a particular KPI from the first aggregated KPI, the first set of KPIs, the second aggregated KPI, or the second set of KPIs. The device may parse text data corresponding to a set of rules, utilized to calculate the particular KPI, to generate a parsed set of rules, and may identify particular metrics utilized to calculate the particular KPI. The device may provide one or more timeline views of the particular metrics correlated with the particular KPI.

Identifying and correlating metrics associated with unhealthy key performance indicators

A device comprises processing circuitry configured to identify a telemetry packet indicating telemetry data for a plurality of packets output by a network device of a plurality of network devices and select a source identifier for the network device from a plurality of source identifiers. The processing circuitry is further configured to modify the telemetry packet to further indicate the selected source identifier and output the modified telemetry packet.

Edge device for source identification using source identifier

A device may receive network data associated with a network, and may calculate, based on the network data, key performance indicators (KPIs) for the network. The device may generate a first user interface that depicts one or more of the KPIs, and may receive a selection of a particular KPI from the one or more KPIs displayed by the first user interface. The device may parse a set of rules, utilized to calculate the particular KPI, to generate a parsed set of rules, and may analyze the parsed set of rules to identify particular metrics utilized to calculate the particular KPI. The device may generate a second user interface that depicts one or more timeline views of the particular metrics correlated with the particular KPI, and may provide the second user interface for display.

A method includes determining, by a controller device that manages a plurality of network devices, device characteristic information for a network device of the plurality of network devices and selecting, by the controller device, one or more sensors from a plurality of sensors based on the device characteristic information for the network device. The method further includes outputting, by the controller device, an instruction to cause the network device to generate the one or more selected sensors at the network device and receiving, by the controller device, sensor information from the one or more selected sensors generated at the network device.

Collecting metric information by sensors based on device characteristic information

In general, techniques are described for a batch configuration mode for configuring network devices. A network device comprising a committed data source and a control unit may implement the techniques. The control unit may receive a plurality of separate commit commands instructing the network device to commit configuration changes to the committed data source. Each of the plurality of commit commands instructs the network device to commit an associated portion of the configuration changes to the committed data source. The control unit then groups two or more of the plurality of separate commit commands to form a batch of commit commands and executes the batch of commit commands to commit the portions of the configuration changes associated with the grouped commit commands to the committed data source as if the grouped portions of the configuration changes were associated with a single commit command.

Batch configuration mode for configuring network devices

A network device is described that parses configuration data of the network device in accordance with a schema, for candidate configuration parameters. The device outputs a parameter identifier of each candidate configuration parameter, and in response, receives an indication of a selection of the candidate configuration parameters and corresponding labels. Both the selected parameters and the labels conform to a platform-independent interface for a remote procedure call for provisioning a service on any one of a plurality of different devices within a network. The device generates a device-specific configuration script for modifying the configuration data of the device in accordance with the schema of the device. The device-specific configuration script can receive, via the platform-independent interface for the remote procedure call, parameterized information associated with the selected parameters and update the configuration data based on the parameterized information.
