A flight deck system is configured to: receive a data model populated with flight data obtained while performing a core avionics function; receive configuration information from an external source that identifies a specific plurality of flight data items to extract from the data model; extract from the data model data values for the specific plurality of flight data items identified in the configuration information; generate an optical code that encodes the extracted data values; generate an HMI display that provides a selectable link for causing the optical code to be displayed in the aircraft; cause the HMI display to be display on an aircraft display; and cause the optical code to be displayed on an aircraft display responsive to selection of the selectable link; wherein the optical code provides encoded data values corresponding to the specific plurality of flight data items for decoding and display by a mobile device.

System and method for generating configurable optical codes for transferring avionics data

Systems and methods for creating a custom approach procedure are provided. The systems and methods receive a plurality of user entered waypoints constituting a provisional custom approach procedure from a user interface. A three-dimensional (3D) flight path is constructed connecting the way points with the constraint that the 3D flight path is a descent path with no climb segments. Terrain data along the 3D flight path is obtained from a terrain database. The 3D flight path is assessed with respect to the terrain data to detect one or more terrain conflicts. An output is generated and provided to the user interface based on the detected one or more terrain conflicts.

Systems and methods for constructing terrain deconflicted custom procedures

Systems and methods for coordinating with a flight management system (FMS) on-board an aircraft to determine whether a flight plan (FP) change generated by an external device is valid. The method includes generating the FP change, which includes a deviation to the intended FP and a savings parameter associated with a parameter of the intended FP, responsive to weather data and aircraft state data; generating a lateral display showing the intended FP and an alphanumeric window with the FP change; transmitting the FP change to the FMS; receiving, from the FMS, a travel path and a calculated parameter for the travel path, generated by the FMS responsive to the FP change; determining whether the travel path realizes the savings parameter by comparing the calculated parameter to the savings parameter; and, displaying either a selectable graphical user interface (GUI) object to implement the FP change, or a warning based thereon.

Systems and methods to corroborate an externally recommended flight plan change with flight management system

Disclosed are methods, systems, and non-transitory computer-readable medium for distributed vehicle navigation processing for a vehicle. For instance, the method may include: by the vehicle: obtaining reference data from one or a combination of an imaging system, an antenna system, and/or a radar system of the vehicle; in response to obtaining the reference data, determining whether a GNSS signal is below a threshold; and in response to determining the GNSS signal is below the threshold, transmitting a navigation supplementation request message including the reference data to an edge node or a cloud node. By the edge node or the cloud node: in response to receiving the navigation supplementation request message from the vehicle, performing a position resolution process to determine and transmit a position of the vehicle by one or more functions. By the vehicle: performing a navigation control process based on the determined position.

Systems and methods for supplemental navigation using distributed avionics processing

For instance, the method may include scanning for one or more terminals within a predetermined vicinity of the vehicle via a low latency communication network and receiving positional data of the one or more terminals via the low latency communication network. The method may further include receiving directional data of the one or more terminals relative to the vehicle, determining a first location of the vehicle relative to the one or more terminals based on the directional data, and determining a second location of the vehicle relative to the environment based on the positional data and the first location.

Systems and methods for cross-reference navigation using low latency communications

In some examples, a collision awareness system includes a receiver configured to receive a first clearance for a first vehicle, receive a first image of the first vehicle, and receive a second clearance for a second vehicle. The collision awareness system also includes processing circuitry configured to determine that the first vehicle is positioned incorrectly based on the first clearance and the first image. The processing circuitry is also configured to generate an alert based on the second clearance and in response to determining that the first vehicle is positioned incorrectly.

Collision awareness system for ground operations

A system for displaying wake information to a pilot of an ownship aircraft. The system includes a display and a receiver. Aircraft information is received, which includes an aircraft type, position and velocity data and aircraft configuration information for a nearby aircraft. Environmental information is also received. The system includes a processor module configured to generate, using the received aircraft information, a wake volume model for the nearby aircraft; and to modify, and using the received environmental information, the generated wake volume model; and to determine if the modified wake volume model will coincide with the ownship aircraft at a future time. When the processor module determines that the modified wake volume coincides with the ownship aircraft at a future time, the processor module is configured to cause the display to display a representation of the modified wake volume.
