A method for manufacturing a nozzle cap, the method including attaching an antenna printed circuit board ('PCB') strip to an inner cover surface of an antenna cover; and inserting the antenna cover into a scallop defined by a circumferential wall of a cap body to position the antenna PCB strip between the antenna cover and the circumferential wall, the circumferential wall defining an outer wall surface, the antenna cover covering the scallop, the scallop extending radially inward into the circumferential wall relative to a first portion and a second portion of the outer wall surface, the scallop circumferentially positioned between the first portion and the second portion of the outer wall surface.

Durable memento method that enables the storage of data associated with mementos, which are objects that serve to provide a reminder of a person, place, thing, or an event. Embodiments are configured to store and recall data including but not limited to pictures, movies, sounds, text, or other information such as performance data indirectly associated with a memento such as but not limited to a keepsake, souvenir, gift, gift card, medal or award, tool or any combination thereof. One or more embodiments may include a visual and/or machine-readable and/or human-readable code to associate the data with the memento. The durable data may be stored remote from the memento, which prevents obsolescence by securing data robustly. This enables the data to be accessed years later even if the file formats or display technology for the data has changed by that time and even if the original memento has been lost.

Durable memento method

A nozzle cap includes a cap body defining a first body end and a second body end, the cap body defining a circumferential wall extending from the first body end towards the second body end; an antenna cover circumferentially overlapping a portion of the circumferential wall, the antenna cover defining an inner cover surface facing the circumferential wall, an antenna cavity defined between the inner cover surface and the portion of the circumferential wall; and an antenna printed circuit board ('PCB') strip positioned within the antenna cavity, the antenna PCB strip secured in facing engagement with the inner cover surface.

A pit antenna includes an inner tube defining a first inner tube end and a second inner tube end, the first inner tube end disposed opposite from the second inner tube end, the inner tube defining an inner tube bore extending inward from the first inner tube end toward the second inner tube end, the inner tube configured to electromagnetically couple energy from an antenna inserted into the inner tube bore; and a top disc, the top disc connected to the second inner tube end of the inner tube, the top disc configured to radiate energy electromagnetically coupled by the inner tube.

Through-the-lid pit antenna

A pit antenna assembly includes a node, the node including an antenna, the antenna configured to radiate radio waves; an inner tube defining a first inner tube end and a second inner tube end, the first inner tube end disposed opposite from the second inner tube end, the inner tube defining an inner tube bore extending through the inner tube from the first inner tube end to the second inner tube end, the antenna received within the inner tube bore through the first inner tube end, the inner tube configured to electromagnetically couple energy from the antenna; and a top disc, the top disc connected to the second inner tube end of the inner tube, the top disc configured to radiate the energy from the antenna.

A passive RFID tag that provides long-range reception, even when mounted on a conductive material or a human body. The antenna of the RFID tag is a loop antenna perpendicular to the mounting surface; it may be formed from a tubular sheet of conductive material to reduce conductive losses. An illustrative rectangular loop 1 inch wide by 0.15 inches high by 0.625 inches deep provides a high effective antenna aperture in a compact RFID tag. Multiple mounting positions may be provided for an RFID chip and for a resonating capacitor. Selection of different mounting positions for these components may allow tuning of impedance and resonant frequency without changing components, providing for simpler and more cost-effective manufacturing. The loop antenna may be formed for example from a stamped metal part with a hollow air core, from a double-sided thick PCB, or from an overlay of conductive ink onto a flexible material.

Long-range surface-insensitive passive RFID tag

Directional wide band antenna that may be utilized to enhance cell phone coverage within a building, and/or for signals intelligence collection (SIGINT). Includes a spiral antenna with feed-point configured to transfer energy to/from the antenna. Includes an energy absorbent backing and an energy absorbent siding coupled with the spiral antenna. Includes a cavity behind the log-spiral slot antenna and in front of the energy absorbent backing. Includes a cable connector coupled to a tapered microstrip line coupled to the feed-point wherein the tapered microstrip line is configured to transform the input impedance to the antenna impedance. Housed in a container configured to hold the above listed components. Energy absorbent siding, cavity and energy absorbent backing greatly reduces back lobes. Another embodiment has log-spiral shaped slots at an outer portion of the log-spiral slot antenna overlap with the energy absorbent siding and wherein the feed-point overlaps the cavity.

Directional planar spiral antenna

A physical activity instructional apparatus that enables at least audio instruction, detection of movement and audio feedback based on the detected movement during the performance of a sequence of positions or moves. Embodiments enable a human to learn a sequence of martial arts moves, dance steps, yoga positions, golf, tennis or baseball swing, or any other type of physical activity involving a sequence of positions or moves, for example while being prompted to perform the positions or moves in sequence. Embodiments may utilize a mobile device that includes at least an audio output and which then detects movement and then provides audio or tactile feedback based on that movement to inform the student as to the correct or incorrect performance, for example without requiring a visual display.

Physical activity instructional apparatus

A low power, lightweight, collapsible and rugged antenna positioner for use in communicating with geostationary, geosynchronous and low earth orbit satellite. By collapsing, invention may be easily carried or shipped in a compact container. May be used in remote locations with simple or automated setup and orientation. Azimuth is adjusted by rotating an antenna in relation to a positioner base and elevation is adjusted by rotating an elevation motor coupled with the antenna. Manual orientation of antenna for linear polarized satellites yields lower weight and power usage. Updates ephemeris or TLE data via satellite. Algorithms used for search including Clarke Belt fallback, transponder/beacon searching switch, azimuth priority searching and tracking including uneven re-peak scheduling yield lower power usage. Orientation aid via user interface allows for smaller azimuth motor, simplifies wiring and lowers weight. Tilt compensation, bump detection and failure contingency provide robustness.

Compact portable antenna positioner system and method

A multi-feed dipole antenna and method. Provides a volumetrically efficient antenna with wide radiation pattern bandwidth and wide impedance bandwidth that are relatively independent. Driving the antenna at multiple locations provides for a half wavelength dipole antenna with a wider frequency range than any other known fat dipole of similar volume. The apparatus is constructed from brass or any other suitable metal without requiring dielectric loading and without requiring direct coupling on the outside of the tubes. The apparatus utilizes a parasitic center tube with two end tubes that are driven by a collinearly mounted metal rod that is driven from the midpoint. Insulators hold the parasitic tube to the end tubes. The parasitic tube allows for induced currents to flow on the surface of the tube which allow for operation of the dipole over a wide frequency range.

Directional planar log-spiral slot antenna

A flexible antenna capacitively coupled to related circuitry components for an active wearable data transceiver electronic location and identification device. Wearable data transceivers (WDXs) are employed as bracelets, badges, and may be incorporated with back pack straps and clothing at locations such as collars, cuffs, and hems. They employ various colors. Active transceiver communication devices are also mounted on objects for real time location tracking and identification. Body-mounted WDXs match the body with the antenna for sending and receiving signals. WDX power includes coplanar battery cells and circuitry has radio transmitter and radio receiver components.
