Cooling of a computing device is described herein. The computing device includes a plurality of fans, a plurality of sensors, and a processor in communication with the plurality of fans and the plurality of sensors. Each sensor of the plurality of sensors is associated with at least one fan of the plurality of fans and is operable to determine a temperature. The processor is configured to determine, for each sensor of the plurality of sensors, a difference between the determined temperature and a predetermined temperature corresponding to the sensor. The processor is also configured to compared the determined differences. The processor is configured to increase a speed of at least a first fan of the plurality of fans based on the comparison, and determine which fan of the plurality of fans to decrease fan speed based on the increased speed of the first fan.

A locking apparatus is described. The locking apparatus includes a first sliding member that includes a first locking arm that extends from the first sliding member, a first tab that extends from the first locking arm, and a first locking aperture assembly. The locking apparatus includes a second sliding member that includes a second locking arm that extends from the second sliding member and a second locking aperture assembly configured to cooperate with the first locking aperture assembly to form an aperture configured to prevent relative motion between the first sliding member and the second sliding member when a locking protrusion is inserted therethrough. A locking system and a kit for securing a computing device are described. Methods of use are also provided.

Locking apparatus, systems, and methods of use

An electrical connector includes a locking plug, a lock actuator, a strain relief, and an exterior mating surface. The locking plug includes a locking mechanism and the lock actuator is coupled to the locking mechanism. The strain relief is coupled to the locking plug and the exterior mating surface is coupled to the locking plug and axially moveable relative to the locking plug to move the lock actuator.

Systems and devices for maintaining an electrical connection

Cooling of at least two heat generating electronic components of a computing device is described herein. The computing device includes the at least two heat generating electronic components. The at least two heat generating electronic components includes a first heat generating electronic component and a second heat generating electronic component. The first heat generating electronic component and the second heat generating electronic component are in thermal communication. The computing device also includes a first sensor operable to measure a first temperature. The first temperature is associated with the first heat generating electronic component. The first heat generating electronic component, the second heat generating electronic component, another heat generating electronic component of the at least two heating generating electronic components, or any combination thereof is configured to compare the first measured temperature to a predetermined temperature, and decrease a power for the second heat generating electronic component based on the comparison.

Shared cooling for thermally connected components in electronic devices

Feet for a multi-position computing device are described. In one or more implementations, a multi-position computing device is configured to include a base and a display device connected to the base by a hinge mechanism. The hinge mechanism is operable to position the display device into multiple positions relative to the base including at least an upright position and a laid-down position. An arrangement of feet on the underside of the base is designed to facilitate dynamic movement of the device into the multiple positions. The arrangement of feet includes sliding feet that engage for sliding of the base across a surface when pressure is applied to the hinge mechanism for transitions between positions. The arrangement of feet also includes tacky feet that engage and resist sliding of the base across the surface in the absence of pressure applied to the hinge mechanism.
