A head for an oral care implement comprises a mounting surface and at least one tuft extending from the mounting surface. The tuft comprises a first group of filaments and at least a second group of filaments. The first group of filaments is surrounded by the second group of filaments. The filaments of the first group have a longitudinal axis and a cross-sectional area extending in a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis, and the cross sectional area has a substantially circular shape with a first diameter. The filaments of the second group have a longitudinal axis and a cross-sectional area extending in a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis, and the cross sectional area has a substantially circular shape with a second diameter. The first diameter is smaller than the second diameter. The first diameter is about 0.15 mm to about 0.16 mm, preferably about 0.152 mm (6 mil) and the second diameter is about 0.17 mm to about 0.18 mm, preferably about 0.178 mm (7 mil).

Head for an oral care implement

A head for an oral-care implement comprises at least two tufts extending from a mounting surface of the head. The tufts are inclined with respect to the mounting surface in at least two different directions. Each of the tufts comprises a first group of filaments having a first length and at least a second group of filaments having a second length wherein the first length is different from the second length.

The invention relates to a toothbrush having a head area comprising cleaning elements, a grip area, and a neck area, which connects the head and the grip areas to each other, wherein the toothbrush is configured having a first component made of plastic, and at least one further second component made of plastic, wherein the first component has a relief structure that is covered by the second component. The relief structure comprises high regions having the shortest distance to the outer surface of the second component, and low regions having the greatest distance to the outer surface of the second component, and the relief structure has intermediate regions adjacent to the high and low regions, the distance to the outer surface of the second component of the intermediate regions being between that of the high and low regions.
