In some aspects, a first user equipment (UE) may determine, based at least in part on a channel sensing using a receive beam of the first UE, preferred resources or non-preferred resources of the first UE for a sidelink transmission by a second UE. The UE may transmit, to the second UE, inter-UE coordination (IUC) information that indicates: a transmit beam of the second UE, and the preferred resources or the non-preferred resources of the first UE, wherein the preferred resources or the non-preferred resources of the first UE are to be applied to the transmit beam of the second UE indicated in the IUC information. Transmitting inter-user-equipment coordination information based at least in part on beamforming

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive an indication of a time offset for synchronization signal resources for synchronization signals associated with a first radio access technology (RAT). The UE may determine the synchronization signal resources and a synchronization periodicity based on the indication and a penetration ratio of UEs associated with the first RAT. The UE may selectively transmit the synchronization signals on the synchronization signal resources and according to the synchronization periodicity. Additionally, or alternatively, the UE may determine that other synchronization signal resources are allocated for a second RAT and may select resources for communications associated with the first RAT based on determining that the other synchronization signal resources are allocated. The UE may perform communications associated with the first RAT based on selecting the resources.

Resource sharing between sidelink devices using different radio access technologies

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a first user equipment (UE) may receive, from a second UE via a sidelink interface between the first UE and the second UE, an indication of a device discovery model associated with the second UE, wherein the device discovery model associated with the second UE is different than a device discovery model associated with the first UE. Techniques for sidelink discovery between user equipments associated with different discovery models

Methods, systems, and devices for are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit, via a first transmission-reception point (TRP), a first sidelink control information (SCI) scheduling a first sidelink transmission from the UE, the first SCI including an indication that a first hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) process associated with the first sidelink transmission is enabled. The UE may transmit, via a second TRP different from the first TRP, a second SCI scheduling a second sidelink transmission from the UE, the second SCI including an indication that a second HARQ process associated with the second sidelink transmission is disabled. The UE may transmit the first sidelink transmission and the second sidelink transmission via the first TRP and the second TRP, respectively, based on transmitting the first and second SCI. The UE may monitor, via the first TRP, for a feedback message based on transmitting the first sidelink transmission.

Techniques for directional sidelink transmissions with multi-transmission-reception point (TRP) user equipments (UES)

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) in a vehicle-to-everything (V2X) system may receive configuration information from an assisting node, such as a roadside unit (RSU), for calculating location information for a target UE in the V2X system. The assisting node may reflect one or more radar signals from the UE towards the target, and from the target back towards the UE according to the configuration information. That is, the assisting node may modify one or more waveform parameters of the reflection according to the configuration information. The UE may calculate location information for the target based on the reflection, such as by classifying the target as non-line-of-sight (NLOS) based on modified waveform parameters, location information of the assisting node, or both.

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for enhancing sidelink communications between devices. As described herein, a single sidelink control information (SCI) may schedule sidelink data transmissions with repetition in time and/or frequency.

Sidelink robustness enhancement for multi-TRP UE

The method may include a first wireless device transmitting, to a third wireless device associated with a signal relaying device, a first message querying whether the third wireless device is able to establish a first communications link with a second wireless device. The first wireless device may receive, from the third wireless device, signaling indicative of whether the third wireless device is able to establish the first communications link with the second wireless device and communicate with the second wireless device via a second communications link using a signal relaying device of the one or more signal relaying devices associated with the third wireless device based on the signaling.

Signaling schemes for assisted communications between wireless devices

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first user equipment (UE) may receive a sidelink message via a sidelink transmission resource of a shared sidelink resource pool that is shared between a communications according to a first radio access technology (RAT) and communications according to a second RAT. The UE may map sidelink transmission resource occasions of the shared resource pool to a physical sidelink feedback channel (PSFCH) occasion and map subchannels of the sidelink transmission occasions to respective resources of the PSFCH occasion. The UE may transmit a sidelink feedback message corresponding to the sidelink message using a resource of the PSFCH occasion corresponding to a subchannel carrying sidelink control information of the sidelink message.

Feedback transmissions with adaptive and dynamic sidelink cochannel coexistence

Aspects presented herein may enable one or more wireless devices to perform a sidelink-based ranging and/or positioning with an assistance of an RIS. In one aspect, a first wireless device receives an information indicating at least a time in which at least one RIS is to be activated. The first wireless device transmits a first set of reference signals to a second wireless device via the at least one RIS. The first wireless device receives a second set of reference signals transmitted from the second wireless device via the at least one RIS. The first wireless device calculates a first signal RTT based on the first set of reference signals and the second set of reference signals.

Reconfigurable intelligent surface assisted sidelink ranging

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first user equipment (UE) sense sidelink transmissions to determine a set of resources that may be reserved by one or more other UEs. The set of resources may include a first subset of resources associated with a first radio access technology (RAT) and a second subset of resources associated with a second, different RAT. The first UE may transmit a message to a second UE indicating resource information for transmissions by the second UE, and the resource information may indicate that the first subset of resources is associated with the first RAT and that the second subset of resources is associated with the second RAT. Additionally, or alternatively, the first UE may transmit an indication of collisions between resources reserved for transmissions associated with the first RAT and resources reserved for transmissions associated with the second RAT.

Techniques for inter-user equipment (UE) coordination-based sidelink communications

This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support blind reTx for sidelink communication. In a first aspect, a method of wireless communication includes determining a first threshold based on a first number of re-transmissions per packet associated with a first time window, a second threshold based on a first reference signal receive power (RSRP) threshold for resource selection/exclusion associated with the first time window, or a combination thereof. The method further includes initiating a blind transmission (Tx) based on a determination that a second number of re-transmissions per packet associated with a second time window is greater than or equal to the first threshold, a determination that a second RSRP threshold associated with the second time window is less than or equal to the second threshold, or a combination thereof. A first user equipment (UE) receives, via first sidelink resources from a second UE, a reservation message that includes an indication of second sidelink resources via which the first UE will subsequently receive a data packet. The first UE may at least one of: determine if the first UE is an intended recipient of the data packet, or compare a reference signal received power (RSRP) value of the reservation message to a threshold value. The first UE may transmit a first reservation forwarding message, via one or more third sidelink resources, including at least the indication of the second sidelink resources to at least a third UE in response to at least one of: determining that the first UE is the intended recipient of the data packet, or determining that the RSRP value is less than the threshold value. The first UE subsequently receives the data packet.
