Biologically active cannabidiol analogs comprising a compound of the formula wherein one of Ror Ror both is/are the residue of a moiety formed by the reaction of an amino group of the amino acid ester of Ror Ror both with a dicarboxylic acid or a dicarboxylic acid derivative and the other Ror R(in the case of the mono) is the residue of a dicarboxylic acid or dicarboxylic acid derivative or Hydrogen (H), (i.e. underivatized), and salts thereof. These CBD analogs are be useful in pain management in oncology and other clinical settings in which neuropathy is presented. Furthermore, these CBD-analogs are useful in blocking the addictive properties of opiates.

Biologically active cannabidiol analogs

Compositions of nanolipid carrier molecules comprising PEG molecules and solid and liquid lipids wherein the PEG has a molecular weight of between about 1000 and 5000 are described. Methods of administering nanolipid carrier molecules are also described. Also described is a method for treating fungal ocular infections by topical ocular administration of nanolipid carrier molecules comprising PEG molecules and solid and liquid lipids wherein the PEG has a molecular weight of between about 1000 and 5000.

Peptidyl prodrugs that resist P-glycoprotein mediated drug efflux

Dipeptide, and tripeptide and tetrapeptide ester derivatives of bioactive agents are provided wherein the parent agents are substrates effluxed by the P-gp transporter. The derivatives are useful in treating the same condition as the bioactive agent. Also disclosed is a method for preparing a bioactive agent for targeted delivery by nutrient or peptide transporters comprising linking the agent to one or more groups of the formula &#x2014;X&#x2014;Y-Z-Z'-R; wherein each X, Y, Z, and Z&#x2032; is independently Met, Val, Thr, Tyr, Trp, Ser, Ala or Gly; R is independently H or an amino-protecting group; n=1, and each, n&#x2032;, or n&#x2033; is independently 0 or 1.
