Techniques are provided for filtering object detection information provided via V2X communication links. An example method for partially filtering a sensor data sharing message includes receiving the sensor data sharing message from a vehicle, decoding a first portion of the sensor data sharing message to determine an area of interest associated with the vehicle, determine a relative position of the area of interest, and decoding or discarding a second portion of the sensor data sharing message based on the relative position of the area of interest.

Filtering V2X sensor data messages

A method of wireless communication at a first V2X device is described herein. The method includes obtaining a message including a MAC header, an L1 source ID, and an L1 destination ID. The method includes decoding the MAC header to produce an L2 source ID associated with the message based on at least one of (1) the L1 destination ID of the message matching a first number of bits of an L2 source ID of the first V2X device or (2) the L1 source ID of the message matching a second number of bits of the L2 source ID of the first V2X device. The method includes outputting an indication of a MAC cloning attack based on the L2 source ID of the message matching the L2 source ID of the first V2X device.

Systems and techniques are described for providing optimized vehicle-to-everything (V2X) safety messages over a wide area network (Uu) interface. For example, method for wireless communications may include receiving, by a network device, one or more first messages from one or more vehicles. The method may include determining, at the network device, one or more recipient vehicles for one or more second messages based on at least a portion of the vehicle information from the first message(s) and characteristics associated with a respective recipient vehicle of the recipient vehicle(s). Each of the vehicle-based messages includes information associated with the transmitting device. Method and apparatus for maintaining C-V2X timing (e.g., in platoon scenarios). The apparatus of a slave UE determines a thermal condition of the respective slave UE within a platoon of UEs. The apparatus performs synchronization with a first synchronization source, directly or indirectly, based on the thermal condition of the slave UE. Synchronization is performed directly with the first synchronization source in response to a determination that the thermal condition of the slave UE is below a threshold. Synchronization is performed indirectly with the first synchronization source through a master UE within the platoon of UEs in response to a determination that the thermal condition exceeds a threshold. The apparatus may receive, from a master UE within the platoon of UEs, SLSS to synchronize indirectly to the first synchronization source through the master UE.

For instance, a temperature, humidity, amount of light, and/or other characteristic or factor associated with a vehicle can be obtained. Whether to transition one or more communication functions from the vehicle to a user device can be determined based on the temperature, humidity, etc. In response to a determination to transition the one or more communication functions, the one or more communication functions can be transitioned from a communication unit of the vehicle to a communication unit of the user device.

Systems and techniques are described for sidelink synchronization source selection. For example, a method for wireless communications at a user equipment (UE) may include transmitting, from the UE to a target UE, a message including information associated with a first synchronization reference source associated with the UE. The method may include receiving, at the UE from the target UE in response to the message, a response message including an indication of whether the target UE can use the first synchronization reference source for sidelink positioning. The method can further include determining, at the UE based on the response message, whether to use the first synchronization reference source or a different synchronization reference source as a master synchronization reference source for the sidelink positioning.

A communication device mounted on a vehicle, e.g., On-Board Unit (OBU), communicates collision related information to other road entities, e.g., other vehicles or roadside units (RSUs) or a server, after a collision is detected. The OBU may temporarily store basic safety messages (BSMs) (and optionally sensor data) for a predesignated number of seconds before discarding the BSMs (and optionally sensor data) on a continuing basis. When a collision is detected, the OBU sends a report, e.g., to a server, with the stored BSMs (and optionally sensor data) to a server. After a collision detection, the OBU may send a request to other vehicles to upload relevant collision related information. Additionally, if a first vehicle detects the collision of a second vehicle, the first vehicle may communicate collision related information to other entities and a server.

Disclosed are techniques for performing wireless communication. In some aspects, a wireless communication device may determine that a prospective position of the wireless communication device is in a geographic area associated with a deficient global navigation satellite system (GNSS) signal.
